Andrea Nordgren is a producer, director, writer, and founder of Heroine Films, a production company focused on radical inclusivity. As a creative producer, she puts her energy into projects that center underrepresented stories, characters, and filmmakers.
Her feature narrative, A Song for Imogene, had a world premiere at the 2023 Bentonville Film Festival. A recent short, All Choked Up, had a world premiere at the 2023 Aspen Shortsfest.
In addition to her work in film, Andrea is an award-winning commercial director, producer, and creative director. As a director her visual approach to telling moving and inspiring stories is intimate, vibrant, and human, tending to focus on health, wellness, culture, and causes.
A persistent ally and activist for diversity, equity, and inclusion, she is active as an industry mentor and advocates for representation in front of and behind the lens. She is a member of Alliance for Women Directors and serves an Executive Producer on the 3% Movement team, a conference and community sparking positive change in representation in advertising and media.
