Gautham Nagesh is a screenwriter and journalist based in Los Angeles. He was Writer's Assistant on Season 2 of the NBC sitcom American Auto and writer on the best-selling video games NBA2K22 & NBA2K23.
Gautham covered the intersection of technology and policy during the Obama administration for The Wall Street Journal. He later moved to Detroit for the Journal, where he covered the auto industry and boxing.
His writing on politics, technology and culture has been featured by The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, Columbia Journalism Review, The LAnd and many other publications. He also appeared as a regular guest on C-SPAN, NPR, MSNBC and other outlets. He is a member of the Boxing Writers Association of America and former National Treasurer of the Asian American Journalists Association. Gautham attended Cornell University and was born and raised in Jackson, Michigan.
