You're familiar with found-footage movies, but how about a found-Instagram film? That's one way to label Thomas Julien's new video simply titled "An Instagram short film." The French art director has taken 852 images from the photo-sharing service, each from a different user, and cut them together for a 90-second travelogue around the world, from Paris to New York City, Berlin, Sydney, Barcelona and other locations from which he could find multiple angles on the same subject. The result is a special kind of crowd-sourced cinema, and hopefully none of the photographers mind being included (Julien is happy to credit you if you see your pic among the bunch).
