Up next for Nicolas Cage is a creature feature from Rlje Films that’s titled Arcadian. Rlje debuted a bunch of new images along with a poster this morning that introduces more of the cast while teasing some of the bloody thrills ahead.
Look for Arcadian in theaters on April 12, 2024. After the film’s theatrical release, it’s coming to Shudder and AMC+ later this year.
Arcadian has been rated “R” by the MPA for “Bloody images.” Check out some of those bloody images below.
In Arcadian, which looks to take a page out of the Quiet Place playbook, “After a catastrophic event depopulates the world, a father and his two sons must survive their dystopian environment while being threatened by mysterious creatures that emerge at night.”
Jaeden Martell (It 2017), Maxwell Jenkins (Lost in Space) and Sadie Soverall (Fate: The Winx Saga) also star in the upcoming Arcadian alongside cinema icon Nicolas Cage.

Irish Wish marks Lindsay Lohan’s second romantic comedy with Netflix. Signed to a multi-picture deal, she’ll have at least one more, Our Little Secret, expected later this year. The first film, Falling For Christmas, had some charm simply for being set during Christmas. But it played it so safe. It didn’t take any chances, and seemed hesitant to go for anything fun. Unfortunately, Irish Wish closely follows suit.
Irish Wish Plot
Lohan plays Maddie, an book editor. She has recently finished working on a book with charming author Paul Kennedy (Alexander Vlahos). Over their time working together, Maddie has fallen in love with Paul, but has not been able to muster the courage to tell him. On the night of the book release, she decides to go for it. But before she can, Paul meets and hits it off with Maddie’s friend Emma (Elizabeth Tan). It...

Cocaine Bear is exactly what you want, need, and expect it to be. Director Elizabeth Banks assembled a cast willing to just go for it, and together they’ve delivered one of the funniest, most insane R-rated horror / comedy / thriller / crime caper / buddy comedy / cautionary tale / coming-of-age films in history. Of course, it helps that there are very few, if any, films that have dipped their toes into that many genres all at once and been successful while doing so.
Cocaine Bear’s very loosely inspired by a true story. Fact: In 1985, a 175-pound black bear, now lovingly referred to as Pablo Escobear, did ingest cocaine that had fallen from a plane. Fact: The bricks of cocaine tumbled into the bear’s path after drug smuggler Andrew Thornton (played by The Americans’ Matthew Rhys in a brief but memorable cameo) tossed them from a plane and then followed them out.

Cocaine Bear prides itself on an outlandish concept that combines a black bear with an impossible amount of cocaine that leads to a whole lot of carnage. Elizabeth Banks steps behind the camera to bring Jimmy Warden’s screenplay to life, giving an additional gloss to this black comedy that one wouldn’t expect to see come from a major Hollywood studio.

A drug smuggling operation goes horribly wrong, resulting in cocaine pouches landing across the wilderness. The group of criminals responsible for the drugs’ transport make it their mission to track the packages down to ensure that they get all of the profit, but little do they realize, a 500-pound black bear accidentally ingested much of the cocaine and developed a habit for it.

Now, here’s some “end of the year” old-school Hollywood spectacle-blockbuster “award fodder”. It takes place over 600 years ago, a true-life medieval tale set in “days of old, when knights were bold”. And it turns out those armored warriors were a lot like folks today. There are issues at the heart of this story that still resonate, even dominating the current debates and elections. Yes, this has lots of swordplay, but inflated egos fuel the flames of deadly combat. And the end result is helmed by a director known for historical epics like Gladiator, though many forget they he also was behind the camera on Thelma And Louise. Add a trio of screenwriters which includes actors, directors, and producers and you...

Little Thing, Big Thing Written by Donal O’Kelly Directed by Jim Culleton Fishamble: The New Play Company 59E59 Theaters, NYC September 2-27, 2015
A thief and a nun duck into a closet under the stairs: this is not the setup for a joke but for Little Thing, Big Thing, the newest work from award-winning playwright and performer Donal O’Kelly, having made its way to the United States as part of New York City’s annual 1st Irish Festival. Ex-con Larry O’Donnell ends up in that closet with Sister Martha McCann, who is returning from Nigeria to oversee the sale of the thematically evocative Lazarus Convent, when their paths cross by chance in the midst of his pulling off one last job. Larry’s final heist, a valuable statue of the Virgin, is interrupted because Martha has a second task in Ireland: to fulfil a death-bed request to hand-deliver a mysterious roll of film,...
