Helix still isn't delivering on its characters or logic, according to this review of its latest episode, Vade In Pace...
This review contains spoilers.
2.8 Vade In Pace
The dark spark of gothic horror that Cross-Pollination delivered last week was soon extinguished by the piles of excremental nonsense dumped on it this week, in a startling return to form.
The episode starts with a recap, followed by the single worst attempt by multiple persons to get through a barred door in the history of TV. As Michael isn’t on the other side when they finally get through, there was obviously other ways into the room which they neither tried to find nor that Sister Anne bothers to mention.
Meanwhile Sarah and Alan do their best at being oblivious, even though they can’t be more than 100ft away, and Michael falls for probably the oldest trick in the history of mankind.

When season 7 of Burn Notice picks up nine months after last season’s finale, Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan) is deep undercover and far away from his friends back in Miami. When we chatted with Donovan about the premiere, we asked him if this was the darkest we’ve seen his character.
“Absolutely,” he responded. “One of the show’s conceit was Michael had to compartmentalize his feelings to protect himself and survive, not only as a spy but as a child. The first time we’re seeing him this year we’re gonna pull that layer away and expose how he feels.

It's week four and "The Biggest Loser" contestants are nervous when host Alison Sweeney and the trainers gather the teams together to tell them there is a surprise this week. "Three people are leaving," says Sweeney. Wait ... what?
Of course the teams are relieved to find out she means the trainers. Jillian Michaels, Bob Harper, and Dolvett Quince are traveling to the hometowns of this season's "Biggest Loser" kids -- Sunny, Biingo, and Lindsay.
"So you guys will be on the ranch all alone all week long," Alison says. The teams and the trainers look scared out of their minds.
Jillian is worried because "there's nobody to crack the whip when the trainers are gone," but she realizes the kids they're going to see are on their own in the real world too, and need someone to check in on them.

Hike up your skirt, Mrs. Robinson. August 8 marks Dustin Hoffman's 75th (!) birthday! The legendary actor has appeared in countless films, including "The Graduate" and "All the President's Men," and given us dozens of lines to quote (cue "I'm an excellent driver" impressions). But, on the big 7-5, we thought it fitting to celebrate one of Dusty's finest roles (and his feminine side) by looking back at 1982's "Tootsie." Directed by Sydney Pollack, who also plays Hoffman's agent in the film, "Tootsie" follows Michael Dorsey (Hoffman), an actor who has earned a reputation as a hard-to-work-with perfectionist -- "Nobody does vegetables like me! I did an evening of vegetables off-Broadway!" -- and decides to disguise himself as a woman, earning a role on a famous soap opera. However, Michael falls in love with his female co-star. Hilarity ensues. So, in honor of Dustin Hoffman's 75th, let's take a look...

Even if you stuck it out for two more hours of ABC’s Bachelor Pad, chances are you immediately changed the channel during the promo for 10 p.m.’s dazzler, Dating in the Dark. It’s okay! I would have done the same thing in an alternate life in which I was not self-punishing and insane. You know the drill. New cast each episode; three guys and three girls feel around in the darkness and occasionally converse to see if they like each other’s “personalities.” Dating in the Dark is a total crapfest that can best be recapped via pictures.

Even though there was a lot of character development on Melrose Place tonight, the episode was a tad bit tame. Just a tad. There was still a lot of crazy, a lot of zingers, and a lot of “eww”, the latter being courtesy of Violet.
