- Keith Thompson is known for P.S. I Love You (2007), Waking Ned Devine (1998) and Enduring Love (2004).
- After leaving the Royal Navy, he joined Cornish garage owner Roy Flood and Navy colleague and helicopter pilot Jerry Grayson in setting up Castle Air, a helicopter company that later achieved fame for supplying helicopters G-BHXU (skyrunner) and G-SPEY (communications) which were used extensively in the TV series Treasure Hunt (1982).
