- Raised outside of Portland in the suburban Northwestern town of Boring, Oregon, Lynsey McLeod was one of five siblings and the daughter of a local minister who occasionally surprised his wife with gifts of farm animals or a remodeling of the family home when she was away. Lynsey not only discovered acting while a freshman at her high school, but also her Soprano singing voice while auditioning for her school's production of the Broadway musical "Grease". Just two weeks after finishing high school, she moved to California to study acting at San Francisco's American Conservatory Theatre briefly before moving to L.A. to continue her education at the Los Angeles Theatre Academy at Los Angeles City College. She acted in local plays, most notably for the South Coast Repertory before grabbing the role of Belle from the hit 1991 Disney animated film "Beauty and the Beast" for a live-action TV series called "Sing Me a Story with Belle", in which she successfully auditioned for after the producers noted her beautiful voice as well as her the way she naturally interacted with the kids that were also casted on the program. After "Sing Me a Story", her most recent roles was a minor voice role for the 2001 English-dubbed movie adaptation of the Japanese anime series "Cowboy Bebop" and the 2004 South Coast Repertory production of the 1973 comedy stage play "Habeas Corpus".- IMDb Mini Biography By: Jose Acevedo
