Vladimir Ignatovski was born on March 8, 1942 in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. He graduated The State Institute for Theatre Art in Moscow in 1967. He worked in: Bulgarian National Film Archive - 1967-1969 as an assistant; in 1990-1991 he was a Chief Manager; in Union of Bulgarian Film Makers as a Director of the House of Cinema (1969 - 1971); in Boyana Film Studio (1971-1974 ) as a script consultant; in the Institute for modern social theories (the Academy of Sciences; 1974 - 1989) as a researcher; in Bulgarian cultural Institute - Berlin (1991-1992 ) as a Deputy Chief; in Radio 99 as a Sales Manager( 1992-1994 ); in Bulgarian National Television as a Head of the Center for film production ( from 1995 to 1997); in Radio Channel Com as a Sales Manager (1998-1999); in the FX - the Cinema - governor from 2002 to 2004. He was a Vice-President of the Scientific Committee for Arts (2003-2009). He is teaching at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria disciplines: Theory of the cinema, Theory of a mass medium, Theory of spectacular arts, TV critic. He is an author of books, studies and researches on the history and theory of theater, film and the media, published in Bulgarian, Russian, German, Czech and Serbian; story consultant of feature films, author of scripts for documentaries and popular science films, leading author of TV shows.
