Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. We’ve got week one of the Spring Breakin’ special(s), so let’s get straight into it and see what went down in this episode…
Match #1: Nxt Women’s Champion Triple Threat Match – Roxanne Perez def. Lyra Valkyria and Tatum Paxley The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Nxt Women’s Championship remains with “The Prodigy” Roxanne Perez as the champion retained her title in impressive fashion against both Lyra Valkyria and Tatum Paxley in a Triple Threat Match. The bad blood between former friends Valkyria and Paxley sparked a major battle between the two to begin the match, all while the champion looked on and smiled. Once Perez entered the fray, the action became chaotic as all three Superstars threw caution to the wind, punctuated by the demented Paxley tossing both of her opponents hard to the ringside area.

Match #1: Noam Dar def. Dijak The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The numbers game of the Meta-Four proved dividends for Noam Dar as Supernova 11 conquered the much larger Dijak thanks to Lash Legend, Jakara Jackson, and Oro Mensah. Dijak laid into the Scottish Superstar, crushing him with brutal chops, strong strikes, and back-breaking tosses across the ring. Dar was even on the receiving end of a ring-shaking sit-out chokeslam. Dar managed to rally and hit a Fisherman Buster on the larger Dijak, parlaying that move into an armbar that incapacitated his arm. After trading incredible shots, Dijak became distracted by Mensah who jumped on the apron, allowing Dar to hit Nova Roller to pick up the huge win.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Lola Vice def.

Match #1: Nathan Frazer & Axiom def. The Lwo and Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Nathan Frazer and Axiom are officially headed to Stand & Deliver after the dynamic duo defeated The Lwo and Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match to become the No. 1 Contenders to the Nxt Tag Team Titles. The speed of Frazer and Axiom was matched by Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro, but the brute strength of Gallows and Anderson clashed with their speedy and athletic opponents. Chaos ensued when all six Superstars found themselves in the ring, and a Magic Killer to Wilde opened the door for Frazer to hit a scintillating 450 Splash to punch his team’s ticket to Stand & Deliver.

Match #1: Asylum Match – Dijak def. Joe Gacy The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Dijak vanquished Joe Gacy in a brutal Asylum Match, but the deranged Gacy still managed to send shivers down the Nxt Universe’s spine even in defeat. With weapons all around the ring, the two rivals massacred each other inside the ring with the likes of steel chairs, fire extinguishers, tool boxes, and so much more. After tossing Gacy off of the top rope onto a trash can, Dijak scaled the cage and hit a gravity defying moonsault from atop the structure, but not even that was enough to win the match. Dijak managed to lock Gacy into a straitjacket and duct taped his eyes shut before hitting...

Match #1: Nxt North American Championship – Wes Lee def. Nathan Frazer The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Nxt North American Champion decided to hold another Open Challenge for his title and it was nothing but pure chaos as a group of Superstars brawled at ringside until Nathan Frazer stepped up and answered it. The two men battled evenly before finding themselves precariously placed on the top rope and it was the challenger that delivered the big blow as Frazer nailed Lee with a superplex and rolled through into a twisting neckbreaker. Frazer risked it all by going for a splash to the outside, but Lee countered and the challenger fell face first onto the announce table. Lee managed to toss Frazer into the...

Match #1: Apollo Crews & Axiom def. Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Four of Nxt’s most athletic and dynamic Superstars faced off as Apollo Crews & Axiom joined forces to take on the team of Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams. Each Superstar showed off their scintillating offense with a number of acrobatic aerial moves and tandem offense on full display. Hayes had Crews down in the middle of the ring but as he went for Nothing But Net, but Crews countered it into a pinfall and earned the stunning win for his team.

Match #1: Nxt Women’s Tag Team Title Match – Kayden Carter & Katana Chance def. Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Tag Team Title Tuesday starting off hot with Kayden Carter & Katana Chance looking to defend their championships against Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark. The challengers made the first statement with a simultaneous catch of the titleholders’ splashes and powered them both to the mat with slams. A new era appeared to begin for the Nxt Women’s Tag Team division after Stark countered with a roll up on Chance that delivered a three-count. However, the official would sort out the situation and inform Alicia Taylor that a tag of Carter had been missed initially. Carter & Chance made the most of their second opportunity.
