Ciaran O'Melia was born and grew up in Drimnagh, a suburb of Dublin,
Ireland. From an early age he attended The Freda Bannon Stage School,
there receiving teaching in speech and drama from Raymond Ryan.
Following Ms. Bannon's retirement, he pursued training at Ann

The Magnificent Ambersons (2002).
In 2003 he began his studies at The Samuel Beckett Centre, home to the
School of Drama, Film and Music, at the University of Dublin, Trinity
College and is scheduled to graduate with a B.A. in Drama & Theatre
Studies in September 2008. Whilst studying at Trinity, Ciaran has been
heavily involved with Dublin University Players, the college's student
drama society, taking many roles both on and offstage at The Players
Theatre. In April 2007 he was elected as Chairperson of the society for
the term of its 75th Anniversary year.
