- Wrote, directed and produced a play, "From A to Y", in 1989 as part of her Honor's Thesis at UNC-Chapel Hill. The production was a compilation of dance, music and stories to raise awareness about the plight of homelessness.
- Patty and her dance partner, Juwan Alston, rocked out to AC/DC, Barry White, and Meatloaf to win the Dancing With The Stars of Charlotte competition, helping to raise over $1MM for accessible arts education, Arts+, Charlotte Ballet, and other local charities. Patty's dance career before the 2018 competition entailed one jazz/tap/ballet combo class when she was 4 years old.
- In her twenties, she worked for The National Kidney Foundation, Inc., traveling throughout the USA to teach non-profit Board of Directors how to raise funds by putting on charity golf tournaments.
