Andy Cohen has filed to dismiss Real Housewives star Leah McSweeney’s lawsuit alleging workplace discrimination and alcohol- and drug-related favoritism.
About three months after McSweeney sued Cohen, the Bravo producer asked a judge to dismiss her previous claims that she had experienced a “hostile work environment” during her time with the TV franchise, including sex/gender and disability discrimination, according to court documents obtained by People magazine Friday.
In her lawsuit filed in February against Cohen, Bravo, Shed Media and other subsidiaries, McSweeney alleged that Bravoland was a “rotted workplace culture that uniquely depended on pressuring its employees to consume alcohol.” The suit also claimed that producers “colluded with her colleagues to pressure Ms. McSweeney to drink,” knowing she struggled with an “alcohol use disorder,” and “retaliated against her when she wanted to stay sober.”

Andy Cohen Responds To Bravo Exit Rumors
It has been a hard year for Andy Cohen and Bravo. After Rhugt Morocco went down in flames, things seemingly went downhill. It was alleged that production encouraged bad behavior by the cast. Therefore, Morocco cast member Caroline Manzo claimed her co-star Brandi Glanville took things too far. More so, Manzo went on to file a lawsuit against the network but did not sue Glanville. For her part, Glanville denied any wrongdoing, threatened to sue, and said Cohen had done his part of bad things. She accused him of...

When Bravo announced that all of the Real Housewives of New York Season 14 ladies would be back for Season 15, it didn’t seem like there was an opportunity to add new cast members.
However, Deadline has reported that Rebecca Minkoff will join the next season’s cast in an undisclosed role.
That means we don’t know whether she’ll be a full-time cast member or a Housewives friend. Producers could decide after seeing what she brings to the table.
There’s also a slight chance that one or two returning cast members—Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, and Brynn Whitfield—could be demoted before the show begins.
Then again, we’ve had eight full-time housewives across the franchise before and could get the same again. Again, it will all come down to how the season shakes out.

Bravo King Andy Cohen has some explaining to do! In February Real Housewives of New York star Leah McSweeney filed a lawsuit against the Watch What Happens Live star and accused him of snorting cocaine with the cast and manipulating the housewives in to getting drunk while the cameras are rolling to make more exciting reality TV.
Andy Cohen’s rep denied the claims, but other celebs are getting involved now, including Kathy Griffin.
Andy Cohen has appeared unbothered since Leah McSweeney’s lawsuit went public. But, there has always been unofficial accusations against the Bravo producers and Real Housewives fans know that there is just as much drama behind the scenes as there is when the cameras are rolling.

The former Real Housewives of New York star claimed in a lawsuit filed earlier this month that Cohen and Bravo had exploited her alcohol problem to secure the show bigger ratings.
McSweeney also claimed that Cohen used cocaine with select cast members and that these individuals had a more favorable edit.
Tamra Judge, Kyle Richards, and Sutton Stracke are just some of the names across the Real Housewives universe to have voiced their support for Cohen amid the accusations.
In a new statement to Page Six, McSweeney’s representatives said the fashion designer filed the lawsuit “based on her own lived experiences.”

The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip was a breath of fresh air for Real Housewives fans when it touched down on Peacock, but it’s becoming one of NBCUniversal’s biggest nightmares.
Rhugt Morocco — set to air last year on Peacock — has been sitting on the shelf for over a year because the season was embroiled in controversy.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Caroline Manzo recently sued Bravo and other companies associated with making the series after claiming she was sexually harassed and assaulted by Brandi Glanville.
Gretchen Rossi, the one-time star of The Real Housewives of Orange County, is speaking out about whether she thinks the season will ever see the light of day, and it’s not the good news fans expected.
“It was quite the experience, but unfortunately it doesn’t look like it’s going to air anytime soon,” Rossi recently dished to the U.

On Hollywood’s biggest night, an exclusive viewing party in Beverly Hills brought together wall-to-wall reality television stars that gathered at Wolfgang Puck’s legendary restaurant Spago.
DirecTV Streaming With the Stars was an intimate affair for nearly 200 guests that was hosted by Rob Lowe. The event served plates of sautéed scallops and beet salads from the restaurant’s signature menu, along with specialty cocktails. And during a commercial break the DJ played “Happy Birthday” as staff wheeled out cakes and pies to celebrate Lowe turning 60 on March 17.
The host grinned with gratitude before turning his eyes to see the delivery of the Best Supporting Actor category on a screen in the middle of the lounge.
Watching his old friend Robert Downey Jr. take home the Oscar for “Oppenheimer” was a highlight of the evening for Lowe, who said he has known the Oscar winner since sharing a sophomore history class in Santa Monica.

Andy Cohen — executive producer of Bravo’s “Real Housewives” franchise and the host of its nightly talk show “Watch What Happens Live” — has fired back against allegations made in a lawsuit by Leah McSweeney, a former cast member of “The Real Housewives of New York City.”

“I’ve never seen Andy do drugs, offer drugs or do anything inappropriate ever, ever,” the 55-year-old told the outlet.
Richards noted that there are dozens of cast members hired by Bravo for these shows, and she believes that Cohen maintained a safe distance from them.
“There’s a reason he doesn’t follow any of them on Instagram,” she added before calling him “professional.”

Leah McSweeney, a former star of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York City, has taken legal action against producer Andy Cohen, Bravo and other entities, claiming to have been subject to a “rotted” workplace culture while she was on the show that perpetuated discrimination and harassment.
In a civil lawsuit filed in New York, McSweeney alleged that Cohen, Bravo, NBC, production company Shed Media and producers John Paparazzo, Lisa Shannon and Darren Ward subjected her to discriminatory treatment and retaliation based on her status as a woman with disabilities, which included alcohol use disorder and various mental health disorders, all to generate drama for the show.
McSweeney asserts that the toxic work environment encouraged employees to consume alcohol and retaliated against her when she tried to maintain sobriety. The lawsuit further claims that producers intentionally orchestrated situations to exacerbate McSweeney’s disabilities, solely to create sensationalized reality television.

The legal complaints targeting Andy Cohen and his Real Housewives franchise are expanding this week, with former cast member Leah McSweeney’s lawsuit alleging drug-related favoritism and a conspiracy to prey on her alcoholism to boost the show’s ratings.
McSweeney, 41, filed the suit on Tuesday, naming the franchise kingpin, Bravo, NBC/Universal, production house Shed Media US, and producers John Paparazzo, Lisa Shannon and Darren Ward. The suit obtained by The Hollywood Reporter alleges that, while aware of the designer’s issues with alcohol and fragile mental health, producers allegedly coerced and coaxed her into drinking alcohol while shooting two seasons of Rhony and one season of a spinoff show. It also targets Cohen specifically, accusing him of playing favorites with those who party with him.

Leah McSweeney has accused Bravo, Real Housewives producers, and Andy Cohen of exacerbating and failing to accommodate her struggles with drinking and mental health disorders during her time as a “Housewife.”
Between 2019 and 2023, McSweeney appeared on Seasons 12 and 13 of The Real Housewives of New York City and Season Three of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. During this run, McSweeney claims in the lawsuit, she worked hard to maintain her sobriety while grappling with depression and bipolar disorder. But producers allegedly tried to undercut her efforts through a pattern of manipulation.
