Karlatta F. Pannell
Karlatta F. Pannell was born and raised in New Orleans Louisiana on June 13th 1991. She grew up in the Magnolia Projects what is now known today as Harmony Oaks located in Uptown, New Orleans. She was raised in a single-parent home to a struggling mother and an absent father who was an NOPD Informant. When she turned age 12 her mother abandoned her and her siblings for 10 years. She was raised by her grandmother Lauren Stokes who looked after her and her siblings. She attended NOCCA Academy Center for Creative Arts for grade 7th and 8th. She auditioned with a dance by Carlos Santana Maria Maria. Which landed her the opportunity to perform with Alvin Ailey Dance Company from New York City and New Orleans own Trombone shorty. The following year she later converted to theater, experiencing great opportunities to work one-on-one with Wendell Pierce. After 8th graduation she was accepted into NOCCA Riverfront while attending Warren Easton for academics half day and the other half studying her discipline.
