As the co-host of the Creators in Fashion show that took place on April 25, Matthew Patrick (a.k.a. MatPat) was in the perfect position to reveal a new apparel venture from the company he founded. On the day of the show, Theorist announced Lumen, a line that includes items inspired by fictional worlds.
A press release describes Lumen as an extension of Theorywear, a preexisting apparel brand under the umbrella of MatPat-founded Theorist. Fans who enjoy pop culture theories will get a chance to check out Lumen collections inspired by IP like Dune, Godzilla vs. Kong, and Five Nights at Freddy’s.
Lumen’s output will be broken down by season. The items debuted at the Creators in Fashion show are part of the brand’s summer collection. That line includes 16 pieces in total.

Electronic Arts recently announced layoffs and reduced five percent of its workforce. It was also said to move away from working on licensed intellectual property in the future and officially cancel the highly anticipated Star Wars Mandalorian game.
The game was said to be a first-person title and would focus on a bounty hunter, but it got shelved to the fan’s dismay. While the publisher canceled the Mandalorian game, it is still working on other Star Wars games, including one strategy title that nobody is really interested in.
The Star Wars Strategy Game Is Still in the Works The Star Wars strategy game continues development at Bit Reactor and will be developed using UE5.
Back in 2022, EA announced that it is working on several Star Wars games, including a strategy game that is being developed in partnership with Respawn Entertainment and Bit Reactor. With the layoffs and cancellation of the Mandalorian title,...

So much of modern Pixar comes mired in “almost’s” and “what-if’s,” and Peter Sohn’s “Elemental” is no exception. It’s as conflicted as they come: a heavy-handed, mixed bag immigrant metaphor punctuated by a genuinely moving romance. It gets frequently lost down the rabbit-hole of its own conceptual details, but at the same time, it yields occasionally stunning images and thoughtful aesthetics — like Thomas Newman’s incredibly effective Indian-inspired score — resulting in a film that embodies the very best and worst of the studio’s recent output, defined more by its potential than whether or not it fulfills it.
Sohn’s last directorial venture, “The Good Dinosaur,” was an unfortunate victim — along with “Soul” and “Toy Story 4” — of the strange Pixar era where environmental...

This summer, Pixar's new film "Elemental" (watch the new trailer here) will be the animation studio's first original film to get a wide theatrical release since "Onward" hit the big screen just before the coronavirus pandemic swept the globe. "Lightyear" was given a theatrical release last year, but it wasn't exactly a sensation, so we're overdue for some real Pixar magic.
Thankfully, after Disney and Pixar invited /Film and other members of the media to screen roughly 30 minutes of footage from "Elemental" during an early press event, I can tell you that this is a return to form for the animation studio. With the exception of "Wall-e," this feels like Pixar's first proper romantic comedy, giving us a charming meet-cute between a fire woman named Ember Lumen (Leah Lewis of "The Half of It") and a water man named Wade Ripple (Mamoudou Athie of "Jurassic World Dominion"). Their relationship...
