Marjan Mona Koffa is a Liberian-American filmmaker with an MFA in Film and Television from the University of Southern California. She received a humanities-based bachelor's degree in Media Studies and a Minor in Philosophy. Marjan has experience in the film industry, from development to distribution, encompassing narrative and non-fiction spaces.
Her drama, "In the Name of Love," was acquired by Aspire TV in 2019 for their Urban Indie Programming. Upon graduating, she wrote and directed a satirical science-fiction short film titled "Mind Over Fatter," premiering in the summer of 2023. Additionally, Marjan is developing an original half-hour comedy-drama. She is a finalist for the National Association of Latino Independent Producers' Narrative Short Film Incubator, and a semi-finalist for the 2023 Black Boy/Black Girl Writes Mentorship Initiative. Additionally, Marjan is also a quarter-finalist for ScreenCraft's Screenwriting Fellowship.
As a storyteller, Marjan strives to marry provocative thought with entertainment in all her artistic endeavors.
