- Left Bad Religion in 1994 to concentrate on the future of Epitaph Records and was replaced by Brian Baker. The band recorded three albums without him before he returned in 2001. He is still a member of the band as of 2010.
- The best-selling recording on Brett's label Epitaph is The Offspring's 1994 album "Smash". Thanks to the single "Come Out and Play", it managed to sell at least 15 million copies worldwide, making it the best-selling independent record of all time.
