Renata Arzac is a cinematographer who lives and works in Mexico City. She attended Universidad Iberoamericana where she received a Bachelor in Communication Science. She has also taken several classes in cinematography, certificated by international schools like EICTV Cuba. Recently she was paired with Sergio Armstrong ACC as mentor, and worked together on Guillermo Calderon first feature film in which Renata became Splinter/2nd Unit DP.
Based in Mexico City, she works all around the world in narrative, commercials, music videos and documentary. To find the visual key for each project, Renata has never stopped experimenting with film stocks, sensors, lenses, color and lighting, in symbiosis with directors who themselves are intoxicated by the possibilities of their art.
As a cinematographer her work have been part of national and international festivals such as Huesca Film Festival, Morelia International Film Festival, Festival de Cine Iberoamericano de Huelva, Monterrey Film Festival, Houston Latino Film Festival, New Creators Film Award where she was nominated for Best Cinematography, among other film festivals.
