Former “Vanderpump Rules” star Stassi Schroeder has been cast in Season 2 of Hulu’s “Vanderpump Villa” alongside her former Sur boss, Lisa Vanderpump. In addition to joining the show’s cast, Schroeder has also signed a deal with the streamer, and her first project is developing a comedic half-hour docuseries called “Stassi Says.”
Schroeder’s return to the “Vanderverse” comes as somewhat of a surprise. She and fellow “Vanderpump Rules” star Kristen Doute were fired from “Vanderpump Rules” in 2020 for racist actions against their former castmate Faith Stowers. In 2018, after seeing a photo in the Daily Mail of a Black woman wanted for robbery in Los Angeles, Schroeder and Doute reported Stowers to police, but the woman in the article turned out not to be Stowers.
Two years later, Stowers made the situation public after describing what had happened over an Instagram Live chat. Schroeder and Doute were fired from “Vanderpump Rules” shortly after.

One of them, “Oasis,” has been picked up by Argentina’s Compañía de Cine to handle its international sales. Created by the Mafi filmmakers collective, this feature doc, which premiered at Berlinale, explores Chile’s failed attempt to...

Now, I know what you’re thinking: why is JoBlo writing about Vanderpump Rules season 11? Here’s the thing – I became crazy addicted to this show during the pandemic. I genuinely don’t know why. It began with me randomly coming across episodes on TV and letting them air in the background while I did Seo work for the site. Then, it became appointment viewing. Then the “Scandoval” happened, and the show became an obsession for me. It got so bad that when I was in Vegas for CinemaCon this year, I dropped a bunch of money at the Vanderpump restaurant at Caesars. I didn’t even like the food; frankly, I just wanted the experience.
Suffice it to say, I’ll be watching Vanderpump Rules season 11, with Bravo just announcing that the show will be premiering this January. I’ll be watching. This will be an especially dramatic season,...

Argentina’s Tarea Fina, a producer on Cannes Camera d’Or winner “Las Acacias,” International Oscar entry “The Sleepwalkers” and Ventana Sur hit “Sublime,” has boarded “A Loose End,” the third feature as a director from Uruguay’s Daniel Hendler, a Berlin Silver Bear winner for Best Actor in Daniel Burman’s 2004 international breakout “The Lost Embrace.”
Set up at Montevideo’s Cordon Films, founded in 2007 by producer-tv director Micaela Solé and Hendler, “A Loose End” (“Un cabo suelto”) is one of the highest-profile projects announced on Monday by the San Sebastián Festival as part of its Europe-Latin America Co-Production Forum, its industry centerpiece.
Written by Hendler, his third directorial outing returns to a central theme in his first two features as a writer-director: Identity. In his 2011 debut, “Norberto’s Deadline,” a loser real estate agent discovers his true calling and more confidence as an actor.

Guwahati, July 10 (Ians) Researchers from the Indian Institute of Technology (Iit) Guwahati have developed a Deep Learning (Dl)-based framework that automatically assesses the knee osteoarthritis severity from X-ray images.
The AI-based model, named OsteoHRNet, can be used to detect the severity level of the disease and assist medical practitioners remotely for a more accurate diagnosis.
Knee osteoarthritis is the most common musculoskeletal disorder in the world and has a prevalence of 28 per cent in India.
There is no possible cure for knee osteoarthritis except total joint replacement at an advanced stage hence an early diagnosis is essential for pain management and behavioural corrections.
Mri and Ct scans provide a 3D image of the knee joints for effective diagnosis of knee osteoarthritis but their availability is limited and expensive.
For routine diagnosis X-Ray imaging is very effective and more economically feasible.

Reality star and restaurateur Lisa Vanderpump is closing her Pump restaurant in West Hollywood, California.
“It’s with heavy hearts that we announce that the lease at Pump restaurant is expiring, and we will be closing its doors on July 5th, after 10 years of beautiful evenings under our olive trees,” reads the statement posted on Pump’s Instagram.
Pump was one of several restaurants featured on the reality Show “Vanderpump Rules.” Two others venues, Tom Tom and Sur, are still in service.
Vanderpump’s statement blamed a rent increase for Pump’s demise.
“While we have loved our time operating Pump, to take on another 10-year lease with a huge increase in rent by the landlords, is not something we are ready to commit to,” the statement continues. “After successfully running 37+ establishments for many years, this type of rent is untenable.”
Her landlord disagreed.
“Lisa’s comments regarding the rent for Pump are not accurate.

Ariana Madix became Kristen Doute’s number-one enemy when she started dating Tom Sandoval on Vanderpump Rules.
Fresh off of her breakup with Sandoval, Doute seemed determined to destroy Madix and Sandoval’s new relationship. From trying to ice Madix out of the group to inviting “Miami Girl” to confront Sandoval about hooking up with her on a trip to Florida, Doute tried but failed to drive a wedge between Madix and Sandoval.
Over the nine-year span, Doute’s iciness defrosted toward Madix. In fact, Doute has been one of Madix’s fiercest supporters after learning that Sandoval had a months-long affair with Raquel Leviss.
Vanderpump Rules fans saw a slow progression from foes to friends between Doute and Madix. Madix revealed that the biggest icebreaker with Doute was the group’s mutual love of Jax Taylor’s wife, Brittany Cartwright.

Kristen Doute was no doubt one of the most volatile cast members of Vanderpump Rules. And the biggest target of her anger was Ariana Madix. Back in the early days of the show, server Kristen was in a relationship with bartender Tom Sandoval. After years on TV, the couple was practically at war, with accusations of cheating on both sides.
Sandoval admitted to kissing Ariana while he was still with his then-girlfriend. And even though Doute admitted to sleeping with bad guy Jax Taylor, her venom toward Ariana was fierce. So who would have thought that the two women would become good friends, with Kristen serving as one of Ariana’s biggest supporters during the Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss cheating scandal?
The drama between Kristen Doute and Ariana Madix
Kristen was absolutely sure that her ex had been cheating with Ariana while they were still together. And she would not let it go.

The “Vanderpump Rules” main title sequence is among the most iconic openings on TV, often replicated by fans of the Bravo show, including Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence. Season 10 has a total revamp of the opening credits, and we spoke to Lisa Vanderpump herself about how the new intro (which you can watch above) came about.
“I loved our original titles,” Vanderpump — the eponymous star of the show — told TheWrap ahead of the Season 10 premiere. “I felt last year that we got stuck in a little bit of a rut [due to Covid restrictions during filming). But I think this year, everything changed.”
One of those changes took place behind the scenes. Longtime co-executive producer Jeremiah Smith took over as showrunner from Bill Langworthy. And although Smith had been on the show since Season 1, he had some fresh ideas of his own.
“When the opening sequence was originally conceived back in 2011 or 2012, the idea was to bring people into this world of Sur restaurant.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever stays top in lacklustre Thanksgiving weekend as Strange World flops.
Netflix’s Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery has scored the streamer’s biggest theatrical release in North America, generating an estimated 13m in approximately 600 venues in its first five days, according to reports.
The streamer’s week-long preview of the Knives Out follow-up directed by Rian Johnson and starring Daniel Craig marks the first time a Netflix film has screened in North America’s three leading circuits of AMC, Cineworld-owned Regal, and Cinemark. In March 2021 Netflix paid around 450m for two follow-ups to Knives Out.

Mexico’s “All the Fires” and “We Shall Not Be Moved” and Chile’s “Sariri” look like buzz titles at this year’s Ventana Sur Primer Corte and Copia Final, the biggest single industry draws at Ventana Sur, which is both Latin America’s most important movie market and a springboard for selection at at Sundance, Berlin and Cannes.
Backed by the Cannes Film Market and Festival and Argentina’s Incaa film agency, Primer Corte and Copia Final unspool over Nov. 28-Dec. 2 in Buenos Aires.
Of best known titles, Copia Final features “Malta,” a troubled young woman’s drama and second feature from Colombia’s Natalia Santa whose debut, “The Dragon Defence,” played Cannes 2017 Directors’ Fortnight.
Argentine Juan Sebastian Torales’ “Almamula” was a 2019 San Sebastian Forum winner.
The main takeaway from this year’s double section pix-in-post lineup, however, is that Latin America’s spectacular surge in new directorial talent shows no signs of abating.
