Jason Ó Fionnáin, also known as Jason Finnane, is a talented Director, DOP, Creative director, novelist, producer, & photographer. He was born on May 18, 1974, in Dublin City, Ireland, and is the firstborn of six. Since early childhood, Jason has been passionate about the arts and found his sanctuary in them.
Jason is a self-trained and naturally talented creative artist who has worked in different jobs for several years but continued his passion and work for the arts. He is a professional photographer since 2004, and he is best known for his work as a photographer. He has won several awards, including a Fujifilm master photography award in 2010 and photographer of the year in 2018, with various portrait awards since 2009.
Jason is the founder and owner-director of FINNimaje(TM) since 2004 and FIONNÁIN CreativeArts(TM) since 2016. He received a QQI awards of distinction in 2018 for training needs and evaluation followed by Leadership and the Managing of People in 2022. Jason is a creative visionary and the creator of the GODS & FIGHTING MEN film saga since 2018. He is currently in pre-production of the first of nine installments called "The Secret Union"©, which is a film adaptation of his book with the same title. Jason secured his first professional contract deal with EuropeBooks as a debut author during the COVID-19 pandemic lock down in 2020.
Jason has received 13 accolades for his short film "AN BAILITHEOIR", which was very well-received at The Michael Collins Centenary premiere. He has also written and directed his debut feature film "The Cathach of Fionnán" with a screen-er promised for Christmas 2022. His plans for the future are to secure funding and/or a contract deal for the feature film trilogy production of the greatest Irish stories ever told on screen through his guided vision brought to life with the "GODS & FIGHTING MEN" Epic.
In addition to his artistic pursuits, Jason is a loving husband and father of three sons. He has a strong commitment to leadership and training, as evidenced by his awards and ongoing studies. Jason is currently studying L8 Cinematography at Griffith College Dublin and continues to produce groundbreaking work in photography, film, and literature.
