“Dead Boy Detectives” threads a very specific tonal needle. Based on the Neil Gaiman graphic novels, the new Netflix series follows two dead teens — Edwin and Charles, played by George Rexstrew and Jayden Revri — and their flourishing careers as P.I.s who help other ghosts with unfinished business while trying to avoid Hell.
“We created a darkly comedic horror mystery,” co-creator (with Beth Schwartz) Steve Yockey told IndieWire. “We were always trying to make the Hardy Boys on acid, basically. As long as you stay grounded with the emotional stories, then you can go crazy with everything else.”
Over the course of eight episodes, “Dead Boy Detectives” does just that. Part of the series’ thrill is found in its opening credits, which distill the essence of the show’s tone into #friendgoals as two skeletons cavort and frolic while ominous Easter eggs proliferate. Helldivers 2 has been out for about three months and in that time, we have seen plenty of new and interesting content, from mission types, weapons, and stratagems.
The community achieved a major milestone when they defeated the Automaton army and had their hopes swiftly dashed a few days later when they returned. Helldivers 2 is still going strong and has daily player counts in the hundreds of thousands and the speculations of crossovers are all around.
We’re Yet to See Confirmation of Franchise Crossovers
Crossovers in Helldivers 2 would make the game a much more strong contender for Goty.
There is one thing though that we have not yet seen added to the game that would surely boost the popularity of the game even further, franchise crossovers. In an interview with Cgm, Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt was asked about the possibility of guest characters from the game’s major inspirations making appearances.

Wrestlemania week begins tonight with Raw but you can kick it off with the over-the-top gory and insanely fun home invasion slasher Here for Blood, available on all digital platforms and also our Screambox streaming platform.
Here for Blood feels like a ’90s video store discovery that’s brimming with gore and jam-packed with laughs, and has become an instant favorite of mine and our team’s as well. We are certain Bloody Disgusting readers are going to fall in love with this indie gem.
Directed by Daniel Turres, Here for Blood follows a down-on-his-luck wrestler (Shawn Roberts; Albert Wesker in the Resident Evil films) and his girlfriend (Joelle Farrow) who are having a hard time making ends meet. When his girlfriend finds herself overwhelmed by exams, muscle-bound wrestler Tom O’Bannon steps in to cover one of her babysitting gigs.

The Boys are back! Well, almost.
The Boys Season 4 will premiere on June 13, bringing back all the blood, gore, and drama we've come to expect from our anti-superheroes.
When we last saw them, The Boys -- and the world -- were in chaos.
Billy Butcher was terminally ill from using too much V24 to gain temporary superpowers, Soldier Boy was being held by the government, and Homelander had reconciled with his son Ryan.
For Season 4, we're hoping for answers. And a miracle that keeps Butcher alive.
But we'd also love to learn a little more about some of the characters we love or the ones we love to hate.
Here are some The Boys characters who deserve their own spotlight episode so we can get to know them better.
Hughie Campbell
Okay, hear us out. We know Hughie is a main character and the show has followed him from day one.

Fear the Walking Dead cast member Colman Domingo has produced a horror film called It’s What’s Inside, which just earned a lot of positive reviews after having its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. (You can read an 8/10 review from JoBlo’s own Chris Bumbray right Here.) Now Deadline reports that, while numerous studios were chasing the distribution rights to this movie, Netflix has come out the winner in this situation, forking over $17 million to bring It’s What’s Inside to their streaming service.
It’s What’s Inside marks the feature directorial debut of Greg Jardin, who also wrote the screenplay. Details on the plot are being kept under wraps, with most reviewers doing their best to keep the movie’s secrets. Exclusive: As the FilmNation Entertainment team gathered in Santa Monica this week for the American Film Market, some reflection is in order. It has been 15 years since Glen Basner started the venture. Despite the hardships facing everyone at AFM with strikes and uncertainty, what a different a decade and a half makes. The launch happened in 2008, not the most fortuitous time to launch an indie film finance and production company with global ambitions.
“Back then, Summit and Mandate were the two top companies in the space,” Basner recalled when assessing the opportunity to launch a company back then. “Mandate was sold to Lionsgate and became a U.S. distributor, and Summit started their own U.S. distribution company. There was a hole in the marketplace we thought we could fill, and become that leading American international sales agent for feature films that had no connection to the U.S. distribution world.

Not so long back, I had no idea what For All Mankind was really about. I’d heard that Star Trek veteran and Battlestar Galactica and Outlander creator Ronald D. Moore had co-created a new show that was streaming on Apple TV+, but since I didn’t have the service, it wasn’t in my orbit. That all changed this year when I got access to Apple TV+ and decided to catch up on their big offerings.
What’s been clear from my experience with the streamer thus far is that Apple doesn’t just heavily invest in “content”. They don’t seem to greenlight a series, briefly check some numbers from an algorithm, then cancel it (cough Netflix). They don’t give creators the chance to make something fascinating and then bury it somewhere under a terrible interface (cough Prime). And they don’t typically delete an entire series...

A couple weeks ago, Mortal Kombat director Simon McQuoid rounded out the cast of the sequel – which is apparently simply titled Mortal Kombat II. Last weekend, we saw a picture of several cast members in a restaurant together. And now Ludi Lin (who plays Liu Kang in these new films) took to Instagram to reveal that filming has officially started! He shared pictures of a clapperboard and his salad, and those can be seen at the bottom of this article.

Last year, Slater said that working on the project had been “really fun so far. … I’m working really closely with the director and the studios, and the game guys, and I think—I can’t say anything about the actual story, but I think they...

Yes, the arrival of the big Summer escapist movie season looms with the big Marvel tentpole flick taking over the multiplex in just a couple of weeks. Not that there’s not a lot of “light fare’ out there already as those “gaming” superstar plumbers still rule the box office. But we can still squeeze in some somber subject matter “inspired by true events”. Actually “recent” should figure into that phrase, as the themes of this story are still happening. Now one of the most surprising things about this new release is the filmmaker behind the camera, a director best known for breezy, high-energy, UK-based crime capers (like the flick that was around only a few weeks ago). Well, he must be pleased with the end results since, in a twist on the old love adage, rather than putting “a ring on it”, he put his own name on it,...

Disney Plus has released a new trailer for its forthcoming Peter Pan movie.
Peter Pan & Wendy is a forthcoming live-action reimagining of the 1911 Jm Barrie novel and the 1953 animated classic.
It stars Alexander Molony as the mischievous young boy and Ever Anderson as Wendy Darling.
The new trailer – released on Tuesday (28 February) – begins with a distraught Wendy encountering the famous Lost Boys in Neverland.
Fans also get a good look at Black-ish star Yara Shahidi as Tinker Bell, and Jude Law as the villainous role of Captain Hook. The trailer teases action scenes, with plenty of sword fighting and flying.
Viewers, however, are complaining that the trailer looks too dark for a kid’s movie.
“Why is the movie so dark? Where are the colours? It’s Peter Pan, not a funeral,” said one person.
Alongside screenshots of some particularly dark scenes in the film, another added: “David Lowry is a solid director.

This recap of Only Murders in the Building contains spoilers for season 1.
One of the more eclectic concepts to come out last fall was Hulu’s engrossing and enjoyable Only Murders in the Building. Perhaps it shouldn’t have come as a complete surprise, as the show starred bastions of comedy Steve Martin and Martin Short, and most of what they have done (especially together) is pure gold. Giving this duo a third corner of comedy is Selena Gomez, who injects the main cast with youth and millennial-appropriate sarcasm.
With the first season’s deadly enigma being solved, the three amateur sleuths didn’t get much time to celebrate, as a second hurried and horrific homicide happened within mere moments. Before they start recording the second season of their podcast and solve a second crime, let’s give you a refresher about all the twists and turns of season 1.
