Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa are both part of The Bloodline, the famous familial team in WWE, that is currently wreaking havoc on Cody Rhodes’ dreams of ending his storyline. Sikoa helped his cousin Reigns defeat Drew McIntyre at the 2022 Clash at the Castle. He did the same thing at WrestleMania 39 in 2023, helping Reigns retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
Solo Sikoa battles Cody Rhodes at Raw in March 2023
Last year also saw the Bloodline feuding with John Cena and LA Knight. Sikoa challenged Cena at the 2023 Crown Jewel, where he managed to defeat him. Emerging victorious against someone as established as Cena was a big moment for Sikoa. However, this big victory did not lead to further success as Sikoa earned a bad track record after that.

Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock, is on the verge of making a comeback to the wrestling world. His match with The American Nightmare, also known as Cody Rhodes, has certainly attracted a lot of attention towards WrestleMania 40.
Produced by WWE, WrestleMania 40 is the upcoming professional wrestling event which will be held two nights- April 6 and April 7. This is the first WrestleMania since the formation of the Tko Group Holdings after the WWE was merged with UFC. This happened after Endeavor bought the former company in 2023, and implies that in addition to the WWE players, UFC players will also be joining the event this year.
While The Rock vs. Cody Rhodes is one of the most highly anticipated matches of WrestleMania 40, here are 5 other matches (via WWE) that will keep you hooked.

In WWE, a world where personality is as important as in-ring skills, LA Knight has emerged as a rising star. Known for his catchy promos and undeniable charisma, Knight seemed poised to make it big. But according to wrestling analyst Dave Meltzer, Knight now faces an unexpected obstacle – the return of legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Dwayne Johnson | WWE
Dave Meltzer pointed out this shift in perspective on Wrestling Observer Radio. He noted that Knight’s promo initially generated a lot of buzz. But with The Rock back on the mic, Knight feels like a copycat now.

The Rock has been back in the fold since the February 2nd edition of Friday Night SmackDown and it is evident that The Great One will be appearing regularly on WWE television as we approach WrestleMania 40 in his feud against Cody Rhodes. However, it is more or less certain Cody Rhodes will eclipse The Rock’s popularity despite his returning heel this time around.
The Rock and Cody Rhodes
Enthusiasm is high among fans for a potential showdown between The Rock and Roman Reigns looms ahead. However, there was a collective desire to avoid overshadowing Cody Rhodes’ storyline. Despite initial concerns heading in that direction, a more reasoned approach has prevailed. As a result, fans can now enjoy Cody Rhodes going head-to-head with Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 40.

Welcome to this review of this past Friday’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!
Match #1: Tiffany Stratton def. Liv Morgan The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Seconds after driving Liv Morgan into the SmackDown announce table, Tiffany Stratton disrespected Bianca Belair with a slap as The Est of WWE was watching the match at ringside. The irate Belair climbed up to the apron, only to inadvertently delay the official’s ability to count Morgan’s pin attempt. When Stratton kicked out, Morgan’s momentum caused her to accidentally knock Belair off the apron, allowing Tiffany to roll up Liv for an enormous win prior to her Elimination Chamber Match against Morgan, Belair, Becky Lynch, Naomi and Raquel Rodriguez.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Bron Breakker def. Dante Chen The following is courtesy of wwe.

Logan Paul had an oddly funny exchange with a fan requesting an autograph.
The Reigning WWE United States Champion and YouTuber competed in his first WWE TV match on SmackDown (Feb. 16). This week’s episode of the Stamford-based promotion’s blue brand proved a noteworthy outing for the social media personality. Paul qualified for the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match scheduled on February 24 in Perth by defeating former tag team partner The Miz.

If he conquers the upcoming event, he will snag a chance to duke it out with Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40.
But his victory at the SmackDown isn’t the only thing being talked out. During his entrance, as the pro-wrestler walked past his fans, he grabbed a Prime bottle from one of them in the front row. As the person expected an autograph, Paul instead, in a classic heel move,...

It has been a busy week for the WWE. Not only did the company announce a major move that will see its flagship weekly show move to Netflix in 2025, but the company’s founder Vince McMahon also found himself at the center of yet another controversy that led to his exit from the company. However, on Saturday, Jan. 27, neither of those stories will matter as the WWE superstars will compete in one of the most beloved matches of each and every year, the Royal Rumble. You will not want to miss any of the action when it kicks off on Peacock at 8 p.m. Et. In addition to the men’s and women’s rumbles, there will be a match for the United States title and the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. You can watch with a subscription to Peacock.

Longtime WWE advertising partner Slim Jim has paused its sponsorship with the wrestling promotion following “disturbing allegations” unveiled in a lawsuit Thursday against WWE founder and board chair Vince McMahon. The announcement comes ahead of this Saturday’s Royal Rumble, one of WWE’s biggest events of the year.
“Slim Jim values integrity and respect in all of our partnerships. Given the recent disturbing allegations against Vince McMahon, at this time we’ve decided to pause our promotional activities with WWE,” the company said in a statement. “This decision reflects our commitment to our brand values and responsibility to our community.”
They added that they “will continue to monitor the situation and base our future engagements on our values and what’s best for our brand.”
The current Slim Jim sponsorship was touted by the companies as the “largest sponsorship deal in WWE history” last August, kicking off with sponsorship around the SummerSlam event.

Welcome to this review of this past Friday’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s episode!
Match #1: Triple Threat Tag Team Title No. 1 Contender Match – The Street Profits def. The Brawling Brutes and Pretty Deadly The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In a fast-paced Triple Threat Match, Butch accidently booted his partner Ridge Holland. Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford took full advantage of this mistake by clearing the ring and overcoming Holland with the Revelation. The victory earned The Street Profits an Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship Match next week against Finn Bálor and Damian Priest of The Judgment Day

Match #1: Bobby Lashley def. Carlito The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Carlito stepped back into the ring to combat Bobby Lashley in his first singles match since his return. Carlito and Lashley squared off for the first time ever, despite their Ruthless Aggression history. Moments before the match, Carlito levied accusations toward Santos Escobar, making this match much more charged. Carlito came out swinging, even lifting The All Mighty to hit an all mighty suplex. Unfortunately for Carlito, the numbers game was too much with Montez Ford getting a cheap shot on Carlito, leading to a Spear for an All Mighty win.

Welcome to this review of WWE Crown Jewel 2022, right here on Nerdly… The controversy over this event seems to die down with each and every event passing and I’m not sure how I feel about that. Anyway, let’s see what happened during this year’s show, which opened off with Sami Zayn defeating Jd McDonagh in a kickoff match!
Match #1: WWE World Heavyweight Championship – Seth “Freakin” Rollins def. Drew McIntyre The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The WWE World Heavyweight Title remains with Seth “Freakin” Rollins but not before an absolute war with Drew McIntyre. The Scottish Warrior looked poise to destroy and dethrone Rollins, and after a plethora of Pedigrees, stomps, and Claymores, the champion dug deep and put his most dangerous challenger down for the count by ducking a Claymore and connecting with another Pedigree and a second ring-rattling stomp. Match #1: The Street Profits def. The Lwo (Carlito & Santos Escobar) The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
As United States Champion Rey Mysterio watched Carlito and Santos Escobar’s tag team match against The Street Profits from backstage, his WWE Crown Jewel challenger Logan Paul delivered a sucker-punch from out of nowhere to take out The Legendary Luchador. With a subsequent nod from Escobor, Carlito took off to help The Lwo leader. WWE’s Nxt won out in the so-called Tuesday Night War against Aew’s “Dynamite.”
According to the Nielsen overnight ratings, Nxt pulled in 921,000 viewers on Tuesday night with 396,000 in the key adults 18-49 demographic. “Dynamite” averaged 609,000 viewers with 346,000 in the demo. While that is a far cry from the numbers seen during the Monday Night Wars between WWE (then WWF) and WCW, it is still a resounding victory for WWE, with Nxt up approximately 7.5% compared to last week’s show.
The two shows do not typically air against each other. Nxt currently runs on Tuesdays on USA Network, while “Dynamite” airs on Wednesdays on TBS. But the Major League Baseball playoffs on TBS this week meant that “Dynamite” needed to shift nights, putting them once again in direct competition with WWE’s developmental show.
Both companies tried to pull out all the stops to draw viewers. Aew announced what they called “Title Tuesday,...

Match #1: Charlotte Flair & Asuka def. Iyo Sky & Bayley The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
One night before WWE Fastlane, Charlotte Flair gained the pinfall victory during her and Asuka’s match against WWE Women’s Champion Iyo Sky and Bayley. At WWE Fastlane, Sky is set to defend her WWE Women’s Championship against Flair and Asuka in a Triple Threat Match and looks to be on shaky ground, as she and her partner Bayley came up short. The four Superstars balled out, with Sky taking out everyone in a tremendous Tower of Doom that left everyone down. Even though Flair had accidentally booted Asuka in the face, she still came away with the win after a Natural Selection on Sky.

Match #1: Rey Mysterio & Santos Escobar def. The Street Profits The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
All is not right between Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits. Though the group seemed primed to potentially take over SmackDown, Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford suffered a loss to United States Champion Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar to cause a rift in the group. Lashley’s cheap shot on Mysterio late in the match caused Dawkins to lose focus, allowing Mysterio to pick up the victory via rollup. The All Mighty admonished the former tag team champs after the loss, walking out on them in frustration.

Welcome to this review of this past Friday’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s episode!
Match #1: Austin Theory def. LA Knight The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Austin Theory became the No. 1 Contender to the United States Championship after The Miz showed up to Friday Night SmackDown and cost LA Knight the match. Knight was on a mission to prove a point, especially with The Miz at ringside, as he bashed Theory’s face on the announce table right in front of The A-Lister. Sick and tired of Knight’s success, The Miz hopped off of commentary, and his distraction allowed Theory to roll up Knight and win the match, securing his championship opportunity.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Asuka & Charlotte Flair def. Bayley & Iyo Sky The following is courtesy of wwe.com:...

Match #1: LA Knight def. Sheamus The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
LA Knight backed up his trash talk and his megastar status by defeating Sheamus in front of a few of his opponents for the SummerSlam Battle Royal. Sheamus didn’t take Knight’s pre-match barbs lightly as he brutalized the megastar, even hitting a back-breaking White Noise onto the rock-hard apron. The other competitors in the Battle Royal started surrounding the ringside area, and due to confusion and chaos caused by the Superstars, Knight hit Blunt Force Trauma and came away victorious.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: The Brawling Brutes vs. The O.C. (No Contest) The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

For a chance to face Santos Escobar in the final of the United States Title Invitational Tournament, LA Knight, Rey Mysterio, Sheamus and Cameron Grimes took part in a Fatal 4-Way Match. The pace was frenetic with all four Superstars pulling out the stops with the two veterans in Sheamus and Rey Mysterio hitting Knight and Grimes with the 10 Beats of the Bodhran.
