- Later on, "Vinnie Vincent Invasion" turned into a relatively successful band of the 1980s, Slaughter.
- Was a staff songwriter for the TV series Happy Days (1974) and Joanie Loves Chachi (1982).
- Former guitarist for bands Warrior, Treasure, and KISS (from 1982-1984). He worked with KISS for a year before they made him their official replacement for departed guitarist Ace Frehley in 1983. He is best-known since leaving KISS for his work with his own band, "Vinnie Vincent Invasion".

- Joined KISS in 1982, replacing Ace Frehley. As the "Ankh Warrior", he toured with the group in support of their "Creatures of the Night" album, on which he played lead guitar on six songs prior to becoming an official member of the band. From there, KISS wrote and released "Lick It Up" - their first album without make-up - in 1983, a recording on which Vincent co-wrote eight of 10 songs, including the eponymous track, which remains a staple of the group's live performances to this day.
- Was KISS' guitarist from 1982 until mid-1984. He was replaced by Mark St. John.
- Was arrested on suspicion of aggravated domestic assault for allegedly roughing up his wife, Diane. Police found four dead dogs sealed in containers in the couple's garage. No animal abuse charges were filed and the domestic assault charges against Vincent were later dropped. (May 2011)
- Has twin daughters, Elizabeth Theresa and Jessica Ann (b. 1982), with his first wife, AnnMarie.
