Stefan Gjorgievski is a passionate young cinematographer from Bitola, Macedonia, the home city to the oldest Cinematographers Film Festival "Manaki Brothers", with more than 5 years of experience in the creative lead and extensive knowledge of cinematography. His beginnings date back to his earliest age, after receiving his first Zenit camera, when he started to chase the light and tried to understand more about it.
He fulfilled his desire to delve deep into the waters of cinematography by enrolling in the Faculty of Dramatic Arts - Skopje, where in 2020 completed his undergrad in the Film and TV Cinematography department and where he is currently completing his master's studies.
His dedication was recognized in 2021 when he became a member of the Macedonian Association of Film Professionals.
His skills came to the fore immediately after completing his undergraduate studies, when he began working on films and TV series in the Republic of Serbia as a focus puller, proving himself soon as a camera operator. He also serves as cinematographer on independent short films and commercials.
One of his notable works as cinematographer is the short film "Twisted" (2020) that won several awards on the international film festival circuit.
Undoubtedly, he achieved his greatest success with the short film "Mavera" (2023) which was selected in the official short film program of the prestigious film festival for cinematographers "Manaki Brothers" and won a special mention for best cinematography awarded by the esteemed cinematographer Peter Bijou. The film also won the "Danco Cevreski" award at the local "Dzirni Film Festival" in 2023 in Skopje, Macedonia.
