Ferhad Khalil
- Production Designer
Ferhad Khalil is a renown and innovative Kurdish designer and artist who has been recognized for his artistic contributions to the art world. He has been lauded for his designer conceptualizations in both the commercial and residential sector, along with the inspirational production sets he designed for the film, "Curse of Mesopotamia". Despite receiving accolades for his work, he has proven to be an humble man who perceives architectural design and art as a way to shed light upon this world, particularly in formerly war torn areas.
He is also a humanitarian. On December 24th - December 27th, he was interviewed by several media representatives regarding his "Art Against War" project he'd conducted in the central area of Raqa, Syria. There, amidst the ruins of war's devastation, he had gathered 11 artists to paint and musicians to perform music to restore color to the land.
A memorable quote he said to the media reflects his humanitarian and philosophical mentality - "We are saying no to war. And yes to life. We want to build."
