- [2005] [What do you think about your looks?] It took a long time until I said: 'Hey, fuck it, you are okay the way you are.' But there is always something you want to change about yourself.
- [2005] [You are a singer and you have just lit up a cigarette. Why do you smoke?] No idea, to be honest. I have quit a couple of times and can do that for quite a while. I don't mind not to smoke. [How long can you stand that?] I start again when I have to work again. It's really strange, like some kind of process is happening, like: 'You have to focus now - let's have a cigarette first.' I am also a sensualist. I enjoy everything and I then want a lot of it. I am a typical example of a person who tends to extremes: Either something completely or not at all. [This means you either don't smoke at all or at least a pack a day?] Yes, certainly. I don't like being a role model in that regard. I am sorry because I know that if people are paying attention to me, it's usually young people. I am completely against instigating people to smoke because I myself want to quit. [Do you really want to quit?] That's the thing. I don't really want to stop but I don't want to encourage anyone to smoke either...
- [2007] I already spent a lot of my time on my own as a child, occupying myself.
- [2007] Life as a pop star is a deal with the devil. You are living your dream, the devil will swallow you for doing so, and you will never be seen again.
- [2007] Of course I have always liked being with the No Angels and been proud of our discipline and the success.
- [2007] Individuality and progression are what is most important about every artist, and they are exactly what I am missing regarding the No Angels' reunion.
- [2007; saying her most beautiful memory is the first 6 months after the Popstars casting] The feeling of being famous practically absorbed me.
- [2007; dismissing rumors the No Angels received cortisone and vitamin cocktail shots at their height of success] We've never been doped, we were professional and hard-working up to the limits of our physical and mental powers, and certainly without doping.
- [2007] We [No Angels] didn't end up estranged and there was no sales-related low point either. We disestablished the band because we were all exhausted from being in it.
- [2007; on wanting to leave the No Angels after her first year as a member already because she no longer liked the band's musical progression] But I was told me leaving would ruin everything. [She was then offered to write songs for the band, which she says was the only thing that kept her staying on as a member for the next 2 years.]
- [2007; on part of her personality being "Prussian" and disciplined] I get that from my paternal grandfather.
- [2007] It's good to be forgotten, maybe it means having the chance to be regarded in new ways.
- [2003, addressing rumors of No Angels in-fighting that came about based on band members being driven in two separate cars] Ridiculous. We simply do this because Nadja and I smoke and Sandy and Lucy are committed non-smokers.
- I won't be telling you my middle name because if you knew what it was, you would make fun of me!
- [2005] That Hilton girl [Paris Hilton], a role model?
- As a young girl I was chubby and spotty, I almost didn't dare to leave the house anymore!
- [2014, on not coping well with touring] At times, I didn't know which day it currently was. [on still finding it hard to plan her appointments nowadays and accidentally scheduling this very interview for her 35th birthday] I am a little dis-organizer.
- [2014, on having almost completely lost contact to her former bandmates] We were not cast to be friends after all, but to be a musical group.
- [2014, on coping with depression and boredom while touring by playing pranks on other hotel guests] Once, I ordered 40 cookies and all kinds of stuff to be sent to Robbie Williams' room in awfully bad English. No idea whether they really brought it.
- [2014, on not having been asked to sign autographs for her co-students yet] That would also make me feel strange. I am a student like everyone else, after all.
- [2014, on having been offered a new record contract and considering the possibility] But I would be more interested to do something on a small scale. For my friends or on Facebook. [Wouldn't you be afraid that it would fail again?] Oh, I have failed so many times already. A bad exam grade would trouble me much more at the moment.
- No [I am not athletic]. At all. But I enjoy dancing a lot.
- As a child I was chubby, stuttered and lisped. Later, I got pimples and a dental brace on top of that. I almost didn't dare go outside anymore. I am prettier now - and the stutter has also disappeared. Nowadays, I only still stutter when I am scared. And I am hardly ever scared!
