Drax is a seriously great Marvel character, both in the films and in the comics. He has such an interesting story arc, and I would actually love to see the character get a deeper and further exploration in a standalone film. So would Dave Bautista, but he says that Marvel Studios doesn’t see the worth in producing a Drax film.
Point is I freaking love comic book characters and I want a stand alone. @MarvelStudios doesn’t see worth in #drax or possibly myself or both but I’m not giving up. I missed out on a DC project because of scheduling conflicts but hopefully there’s other characters & opportunities https://t.co/OX1XDnbmk9

I know Marvel’s got a epically long slate of movies they have to make, but even if we don’t get a film they could always make a Drax Disney+ series!

As Marvel Studios proved with their decision to go forward with a "Guardians of the Galaxy" film, sometimes it just doesn't matter whether people know the characters or not. If it makes sense within the grand scheme of things and will prove to be interesting for fans both old and new, then by all means, go forth.
Case in point: Moondragon, a character who's been on both the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Avengers that virtually nobody has ever heard of before. First appearing in an issue of "Iron Man" back in 1973, Moondragon is an extremely powerful telepath who is perhaps best known for mentally enslaving Thor and forcing the God of Thunder to be her lover.
Can you imagine a scene like that taking place in the "Avengers" sequel? We sure can! Click past the jump for more on Moondragon!
