- Sergei Esenin was born on October 3, 1895 in Konstantinovo, Ryazan Governorate, Russian Empire [now Ryazan Oblast, Russia]. He was a writer, known for Poj pesnyu, poet (1973), The Hollow (2007) and Mongol Shuudan: Moskva (1996). He was married to Sophia Tolstaya, Isadora Duncan, Zinaida Reich and Anna Izryadnova. He died on December 28, 1925 in Leningrad, RSFSR, USSR [now St. Petersburg, Russia].

- Was found dead in 1925 in his room at the hotel Astoria/Angleterre in St. Petersburg, Russia. There is some evidence that he was murdered by the Soviet security service for his political position and support of Lev Trotskiy. After the death of Esenin, Lev Trotskiy gave a powerful speech in support of Esenin's writings. However, the Soviet censorship banned Esenin for many years during the dictatorship of Joseph Stalin.
