X Factor singer John Wilding has admitted that he struggled after being rejected on the show last year. The 19-year-old made it through to Judges' Houses but failed to win a slot in Dannii Minogue's top three. Wilding won a standing ovation from the new panel after impressing with his performance of Jennifer Hudson's 'Love You I Do', as he returned to audition for the ITV1 show again. Speaking on Saturday night's episode, he said that it had been "really hard" to get so close to the live shows last year. "In the last year I've been working on my singing, I've been singing non-stop every day trying to improve my voice, I just feel like I'm ready this year, with the new judges it's sort of like a fresh start (more)...

X Factor hopeful John Wilding has confessed to splashing around £7,000 on a makeover for his second stint on the show. Viewers will see the 18-year-old from Essex audition for the new judging panel this weekend, having been axed by Dannii Minogue at the Judges' Houses stage of last year's competition. Speaking ahead of his X Factor return, Wilding admitted to undergoing an extreme diet after being disappointed with his appearance on the 2010 edition, as well as spending his life savings on a refreshed wardrobe and new teeth. "I just looked at myself and thought if I want to sing I am going to need to change a lot," he told the Daily Mail. "You can be the best singer or the worst singer but if you don't look right that is it. "I paid just under £5,000 for them, so that was my car out the (more)...

He went on to impress with a version of 'Make You Feel My Love' at Boot Camp, but after singing 'Back For Good' at the Judges' Houses stage for Dannii Minogue, he was ditched from the competition. Among those paying their respects were former Us senator John Warner, who was married to Taylor in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Her son with second husband Michael Wilding, John Wilding, said that 'the world is a better place for Mom having lived in it.' It was the worst kept X Factor secret ever! Within days of the big twist being announced last week, the whole of the UK was aware that the judges would be allowed to bring back former rejects for tonight’s show.
So this evening we saw Cheryl Cole, Louis Walsh, Simon Cowell and Dannii Minogue travel to the hometowns of Wagner, Treyc Cohen, Paije Richardson and Diva Fever as they invited the singers to join the final lineup.
We Loved Treyc and Paije but think that Louis and Simon had more talented acts than Diva Fever and Wagner on offer. We’d have preferred The Reason and Elesha Moses to progress to the final 16.
What did you think of the wildcard choices? Was your favourite brought back tonight? Leave your comments below.

Will there be four wildcards, will there be one, will Gamu be back or will she be gone? There’re lots of question marks over what lies ahead in this year’s X Factor but the biggest question is probably which of the so-called Wild cards will progress the furthest.
Paddy Power are now giving their punters the opportunity to take a ‘wild’ guess on this year’s X Factor and bet on which of this year’s rejects will progress the furthest as wildcards. Cheryl’s Treyc Cohen and Dannii’s Paije Richardson are the 13/8 joint favourites to progress the furthest from the list of potential wildcards.
And eighteen year-old Gamu Nhengu is still listed as a possible wildcard despite reports that she is due to be deported.
Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power, explained: “Our punters don’t know whether they’re coming or going this year. The...

Last weekend it was announced that we could expect a ‘huge twist’ on Saturday night’s X Factor and since then, it has been confirmed that Simon Cowell has introduced a wildcard round.
The plan will offer a lifeline to some of the twenty acts who got rejected at judges houses and insiders claim that the judges have each chosen one hopeful or group to return to the show this weekend. Similar to the twist in BBC’s ‘Over The Rainbow’ earlier this year, it is expected that the public will be allowed to vote for their favourite out of the four wildcards and the winner will then be allowed to join the finalists for the rest of the series. They may even win the show!

John Wilding may have failed to make the X Factor final 12, but it seems he is still a man in the know.
The 17 year old singer took to his Twitter page last night, to confirm many rumours and revealed that the judges have already chosen their four wildcard contestants to return on Saturday night.
Insiders had previously claimed that along with the final twelve, Louis, Simon, Cheryl and Dannii will be allowed to bring back one hopeful, who’s dreams they previously crushed. The public will then vote for their favourite out of the four, bringing the number of finalists up to 13.
John confirmed the wildcard theory last night, tweeting:
“the wildcards have been given out !!! x ”
He later added:
“the wildcards are and arnt who u expect ! x”
Hinting that perhaps some of the public’s favourites, such as Gamu Nhengu, have failed to make the cut once more,...

We know we’ve already brought you the rumoured final 12 for this year’s X Factor but in case anyone’s interested, here is the final 32 through to judges houses.
These 32 acts have all attended the final audition round of the ITV show and will be seen singing in Australia, England, Spain and Ireland on next week’s show.
In 2010, Dannii Minogue will be mentoring the boys, Cheryl Cole has the girls, Simon Cowell will look after the groups and Louis Walsh has been landed with the older acts.
There is a slight change to the categories this year. As usual we will have our boys, girls, groups and overs – however the age limit for the older group is now over 28, so some singers who would previously have been in that category, have managed to win themselves a place in the much cooler, younger groups.
