- Actor Martin West (born Martin Weixelbaum) began appearing in feature films and on television in 1960 with Freckles (1960). In 1966, he played Dr. Phil Brewer on the daytime soap opera General Hospital (1963), becoming the fifth actor to play the role. In 1965, he was featured in Harper (1966), starring Paul Newman.
