Fox Corporation has tapped Comcast’s advertising solution FreeWheel for dynamic campaigns that will air during college football games, the companies announced on Wednesday.
The utilization of FreeWheel will allow Fox’s flagship broadcast network to offer an expanded array of dynamically-inserted advertising that is hyper targeted across different audience segments. Both companies will develop and deploy targeting technology to this effect, and FreeWheel will become Fox’s primary ad serving partner across its entire “One Fox” enterprise.
“The TV ad marketplace is very complex and when we thought about who is doing a great job helping advertisers to cut through that clutter and drive Roi (return on investment), FreeWheel clearly stood out,” Darren Sherriff, the Senior Vice President of Advertising Technology Solutions at Fox, said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to be able to offer our...

On Sunday, Neil Simon died at the age of 91. Carl Reiner knew and worked with Simon on “Your Show of Shows” in the early 1950s, and they were longtime friends. Reiner reflects on the memory of his friend, as told to TheWrap’s Daniel Kohn.
I first met him when he was a young writer on “Your Show of Shows.” A neophyte writer, he came with his brother, who was an established writer. And Neil was very quiet, sat quietly in the writers’ room, along with Larry Gelbart, Mel Brooks, Joe Stein, Tony Webster. He was a very quiet guy, but he had a mind like no other.
As a matter of fact, I called him “the guy with the voice of a turtle” — he talked so quietly that nobody ever heard him. Lucky for both of us, I was sitting next to him, and this was a phrase that...

In news that seems to shock everyone involved, over the weekend, Smurfs 3D crossed a half billion dollars at the global box office. A sequel was announced long ago, but this takes it to a new level of success.
Sometimes, the timing of TheOnion.com is a little tasteless.
It seems that The Glee Project's Damian McGinty is already filming for Glee, and while he's certainly Brittany's personal leprechaun, he's also in direct conflict with out Kurt and Santana. This could get ugly.
Wow. It's nice to know I'm hated in the comments on more than one site. I mean besides Fox News.
I still haven't watched the season premiere of Supernatural yet, but according to the recap I read, new god Castiel got some ironic smiting done. If I were a megachurch pastor, I might be worried.
Morgan Freeman went on Piers Morgan's show and said that...
