- Publicly came out as gay to Marie Osmond during Tuc Watkins (2013) on April 29, 2013.
- On September 21, 2005, survived the emergency landing of JetBlue flight 292. He and other passengers learned of the airplane's malfunctioning landing gear by watching coverage of their plight on headrest-mounted TV sets.
