- (1930s-'40s) Radio: A versatile voice actor, he appeared on hundreds of radio episodes. He was a regular performer on Chicago-based radio programs on such shows as "Fifth Row Center" and "Knickerbocker Playhouse".
- Radio: Moving to Hollywood, he became a featured utility player on "The First Nighter", "The Whistler", "Lux Radio Theater", "Screen Director's Playhouse", "Escape", "Yours Truly Johnny Dollar", "Amos 'n' Andy", "Halls of Ivy" and "Lum and Abner" before landing his signature role as Harold Peary's replacement for the last five seasons of "The Great Gildersleeve". He played the role from 1950-55.

Lee and Jerome Lawrence's play, "Auntie Mame," first at the Hanna Theatre in Cleveland, OH, and closed at the Erlanger Theatre in Chicago, IL, with Eve Arden, Benay Venuta, Brooks West, Dorothy Blackburn, David Lewis, Florence McMichael, Manning Ross, Elizabeth Talbot-Martin, Ray Fulmer, Jacqueline Holt, Yuki Shimoda, Dennis Joel, Suzanne Turner and Constance Bennett in the cast. Oliver Smith was set designer. Michael Travis was costume designer. Travis Banton was gown designer. Morton DaCosta was director. Robert Fryer and Lawrence Carr were producers.
- (1965) Stage: Appeared in Frank Loesser's musical, "How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," at the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, NJ, with Len Gochman in the cast. Chas. Durand was director.
- (1980) Radio commercial: Sony. NOTE: The commercial won a CLIO Award.
