- Simon Walker was born in 1961 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He is a composer, known for Into the Blue (2005), A Test of Love (1984) and Mystery at Castle House (1982).
- Was offered a position in Hollywood by Jerry Goldsmith in the early 1980s (whilst Goldsmith was visiting Australia at an awards ceremony) but was unable to pursue this due to marriage difficulties at that time.
- Attended Sydney Boys High School (1974-1980) as a selective student (for academic achievements). Was heavily involved in the music department during his years there and would play the Grand Piano in the school's Great Assembly Hall almost every lunch time without fail.
