- Slavko Vorkapich was born on March 17, 1894 in Dobrinci near Sremska Mitrovica, Austria-Hungary [now Serbia]. He was a director, known for Hanka (1955), Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939) and The Past of Mary Holmes (1933). He died on October 20, 1976 in Mijas, Málaga, Andalucía, Spain.
