Vince Vaughn is attached to executive produce an animated comedy series in the works at Fox, Variety has learned exclusively.
Fox has given Vaughn, Victoria Vaughn, and Peter Billingsly’s Wild West Picture Show production company a blind script deal for an animated series. No writer is currently attached, but Fox Entertainment will produce. Vince, Victoria, and Billingsly will all executive produce.
Should the project go to series, it would be the second animated series that Wild West Picture Show has produced. The company is also behind the Netflix animated series “F Is for Family.” That show, which was created by Bill Burr and Michael Price, follows an Irish-American family in the 1970s. The fourth season was released on Netflix back in June. Vaughn also guest starred in the show in its third season.
In addition to his work as a producer, Vaughn is primarily known for his work onscreen.

‘Give Us This Day’ Filmmakers Talk The Overlooked High Crime In East St. Louis In New Docu – Tribeca
Lying just across the Mississippi River from St. Louis, Mo is East St. Louis, Illinois, which has for some years held the tragic distinction as the city with the highest homicide rate per capita in the United States. The shroud which has mostly kept East St. Louis off the mass media spotlight despite its unwanted title is lifted in directors Jeff and Michael Zimbalist’s new At&T Audience Network documentary, Give Us This Day, which had an early sneak in New York just days after completing a final edit as part of AwardsLine’s screening series.
Give Us This Day tracks a year in the lives of three police officers and three residents living in East St. Louis, the city with the highest homicide rate in the United States. This documentary explores the humanity in each of these six lives as they intersect, develop and transform.

In the wild world of Hollywood movie making, no project is ever truly dead. Soon after, he realizes it doesn’t take effect for three weeks so he must survive that long in order for it to take effect. Peter Billingsley is still onboard to direct.

CBS is developing a new version of classic sitcom "The Brady Bunch" which will be co-developed and executive produced by Vince Vaughn. The multi-camera comedy series has scored a script order which Mike Mariano ("Raising Hope," "My Name Is Earl") is penning says Deadline.
The show is not so much a remake or reboot as it is a sequel. In this version the youngest of the original Brady kids, Bobby Brady, is now a grown up divorcee with kids of his own. He then remarries a woman who also has her own kids.
They also have a child together, while their ex-spouses are still part of their lives - the intention being to "reflect the evolution of family dynamics" in the interim since the original.
Mariano, Vaughn, Lloyd Schwartz, Victoria Vaughn and Peter Billingsley will all executive produce. CBS TV Studios, who produce "Hawaii Five-0" for the network, will also produce this.

Exclusive: Wild West Picture Show Productions has used its discretionary fund to acquire the Ridley Pearson novel The Risk Agent. It will be developed as a star vehicle for Vince Vaughn, who’ll produce with his Wild West cohorts Victoria Vaughn and Sandra J. Smith. They’ve already set Michael Lerner to write the script. The book was published last month by Putnam. The project will be developed for Universal, where Vaughn has his producing deal. It’s a departure for the actor, a thriller that is set in China. When a Chinese National working for an American-owned construction company is grabbed off the streets of Shanghai in broad daylight and his one-man security detail goes missing as well, the call goes out to Rutherford Risk. That firm specializes in hostage extraction, from negotiation to recovery. Since private investigation is illegal in China, the company recruits two experts. One, Grace Chu,...

Exclusive: New Regency has paid high six-figures for Gunslingers, a pitch that Braveheart scribe Randall Wallace will write for Vince Vaughn to star. Vaughn will produce through his Wild West Picture Show Productions banner with Victoria Vaughn exec producing. Wallace is also a producer along with New Regency. Michael Lagnese from Wwps is associate producer. They are keeping the log line under wraps, but here is what I know: It’s an action adventure set in modern-day Los Angeles, where heroic and iconic characters from the past collide with contemporary urban reality. It’s a movie that explores what real heroism is in a fun and unexpected way. It’s also a two-hander. Vaughn will next be seen in The Watch, the Fox comedy that opens July 27, and the Stephen Frears-directed Lay The Favorite. He re-teams with Wedding Crasher star Owen Wilson in the Shawn Levy-directed The Internship.

Bad news for "Lost" fans hoping Sawyer (Josh Holloway) would take over the role of classic TV gumshoe Jim Rockford. Deadline.com reports that Universal Pictures is now developing the '70s series as a big-screen vehicle for funnyman Vince Vaughn. The original show, which ran from 1974-1980, starred James Garner as an ex-con who solved crimes out of his mobile home in Malibu. After a recent attempt by NBC to reboot it with Dermot Mulroney in the lead fizzled (According to Vulture "The pilot [was] so bad that it seemed like a crime."), Holloway's name came up as a viable replacement. It's not clear whether Vaughn's version of "The Rockford Files" would go the jokey, tongue-in-cheek route of other '70s-shows-turned-movies like "Starsky and Hutch," or strive to be a straightforward crime drama that happens to have a clever wisecracking lead, like the original series. David Levien and Brian Koppelman...
