What a strange looking, but completely interesting comedy. It's a serial killer - comedy? You don't usually see those two things go together, but if this film is any indication, it just might work.
Colin Hanks, like his father Tom, usually plays the good guy, so it's great to see him in a completely different role.
This is not a serious murder-drama, but a fun, hesity looking film that happens to be about a millionaire serial killer.
How creepy is it that this guy married a woman and then proceeds to kill other women who look like her.
It's so twisted, you can't help but laugh -- even though you know you shouldn't.
Can you say American Psycho? Lucky is set to hit theaters on July 15, 2011.
It also stars Ari Graynor, Ann-Margret, Jeffrey Tambor and Elizabeth Uhl.

Premiering to mixed/decent reviews at Dallas International Film Festival, I’m not quite sure what to make of the indie Lucky. With our first trailer, there looks to be wildly different tones, which should make for an entertaining watch. Director Gil Cates, Jr. seems to have made a simply fun dark comedy in the story of serial killer turned lottery winner. Starring Colin Hanks, Ari Graynor, Ann-Margret, Jeffrey Tambor and Elizabeth Uhl., one can see the trailer below via Yahoo.
Synopsis:
It seems like a dream come true when Ben Keller wins the Iowa state lottery… but for everyone else in his life, it’s the beginning of darkly comic nightmare. With 80 million dollars at his disposal, Ben has the newfound confidence to pursue his life-long crush, Lucy St. Martin. But can all the money in the world compensate for the fact that Ben is a fledgling serial killer?...

Before Colin Hanks stars on season six of Dexter, audiences will see him in the indie serial killer comedy, Lucky. The script was written by Kent Sublette (SNL) from a story by Gil Cates Jr. who also directed. The cast also includes, Ari Graynor, Ann-Margret, Jeffrey Tambor and Elizabeth Uhl.
I love Hanks and Tambor so this is a film I am interested in seeing. Watch the trailer below and share your thoughts:

There isn't a soul alive that hasn't imagined how their world would change if they won the lottery. Whether you've dreamt about huge mansions, fast cars or exotic vacations, we've all wondered how that much money would change our lives. It's a bit different in the case of Colin Hanks' character in Lucky, however. Yahoo! has posted the first trailer for the dark comedy, which also stars Ari Graynor, Ann-Margret, Jeffrey Tambor and Elizabeth Uhl. In the movie, Hanks plays Ben, a young man who one day discovers that he has won the lottery and that all of his dreams are coming true, including the fact that his long-time love is finally giving him some attention. The catch? Ben also happens to be a serial killer and with the money comes some unwanted attention. Check out the trailer below or in HD over on Yahoo! runHtml5Fallback('gorillanationPlayer_ci...
