Alison A. Taylor is a Supervising Location Manager and freelance Producer. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Indianapolis, she graduated from Purdue University with dual majors in Organizational Communication and Spanish. Her fascination with international cultures led her to a foreign exchange program in Mexico City and her degree in a foreign language. After college, Alison spent several years as an International Tour Director escorting groups around the world before returning to Los Angeles where she found herself attracted to the entertainment industry - specifically the location department.
Over the course of her career as a Location Manager, Alison Taylor has had the privilege of working on many recognizable film and television projects for all the major studios including, Amazon, Disney, HBO, Fox, Marvel, Netflix, Universal, Warner Bros, etc.
Ms. Taylor has won four California on Location Awards (COLA) - voted by her peers for the excellence of her work as a Location Manager. The feature films and TV series Alison has worked on, and continues to work on, have a deeply evocative sense of place which is central to the story on the screen. Her COLA awards recognize the critical role she has played not only in finding locations that bring the story to life, but also in managing those locations in a fashion that creates a positive experience for both the production company, the location, and the local community.
Alison serves as a Trustee on the executive board of Hollywood Teamsters Local 399 where she chairs the local's Political Action and Legislature committee and is the founder and co-chair of The Black Location Professionals of Los Angeles, an unofficial caucus of the local. Additionally, Alison is an active member of Location Managers Guild International (1st Vice President), Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (Producers Peer Group Executive Committee Member), Teamsters National Black Caucus and the Alpha Gamma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.
