- Josef Svoboda was born on May 10, 1920 in Caslav, Czechoslovakia. He was a production designer and director, known for Amadeus (1984), Laterna Magika: Puzzles (1996) and Laterna Magika: Trap (1999). He was married to Libuse Hrubesova. He died on April 8, 2002 in Prague, Czech Republic.
