The CW has ordered two scripted series set to premiere in the fall of 2024: crime-solving dramas “Wild Cards” and “Sight Unseen.”
“Wild Cards” is a procedural starring two alumni of the CW: Vanessa Morgan (“Riverdale”) and Giacomo Gianniotti (“Reign”). When Max gets arrested and ends up helping Ellis solve a local crime, the two are offered the opportunity to redeem themselves, with Ellis going back to detective and Max staying out of jail if they can learn to trust each other and work together.
Michael Konyves created “Wild Cards” and executive produces alongside pilot director James Genn, Shawn Piller, Lloyd Segan, and writers Alexandra Zarowny, James Thorpe, Noelle Carbone and Morwyn Brebner,...

In 2016, Freeform announced at its upfront in New York plans to bring back the original alumni of the Cyprus-Rhodes University for Greek: The Reunion movie, set five years after the show ended, which was expected to air during the holiday frame.
The cast and executive producers reunited at the Atx Television Festival, and of course were asked Friday whether the reunion was still happening.
While there is still no word on when or if the special would take place, creator and executive producer Patrick Sean Smith told festival goers that “there was a script that was written for the reunion. I hope we get to do a reunion at some point with somebody who wants to do it.”
Without going far into detail about what the hold is, Smith shared a storyline he planned to explore in the update.

Televisa has acquired rights to Scott Shepherd's serialized post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller novel "The Seventh Day" and have ordered a ten episode series adaptation of the work.
Set seven years after the Strangers decimated the planet and wiped out most of humanity, the story follows Joad on his dangerous trek home to Nemo in the hope his wife waits for him.

The Boondock Saints will get a TV prequel series.
The rights were bought by Im Global Television and the long-rumoured show will be written by Troy Duffy, who wrote and directed the 1999 movie and its 2009 sequel The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day, Deadline reports.
"For years I've been obsessed with telling a real origin story with Boondock, and Im Global TV has stepped up," Duffy said.
"Television is the perfect medium to explore these controversial characters on a much deeper level and to bring Boondock Saints to a whole new audience."
Duffy will also direct the first episode of the series and be an executive producer alongside Don Carmody of Don Carmody Television, Lloyd Segan of Piller-Segan and D Matt Geller.
Original stars Norman Reedus and Sean Patrick Flanery are said to be in talks to join as co-executive producers.

After several years trying to get another "The Boondock Saints" sequel off the ground, filmmaker Troy Duffy is taking another path with plans to write and direct a 'Boondock' TV prequel series for Im Global Television.
Duffy has written and will direct the first episode, and has already compiled a series bible which chronicles the MacManus boys’ origins as Irish immigrants in South Boston.
Norman Reedus and Sean Patrick Flanery, who played the MacManus twins in the films, will not star but may serve as co-executive producers. Duffy, Don Carmody, Lloyd Segan, and D. Matt Geller will executive produce and a show runner is being sought.
"The Boondock Saints" TV series does not yet have a network or streaming service, but producers are said to be aiming for a straight-to-series order.

You’ve got to love a show that gets stronger over time… or at least gets higher ratings, and since that’s exactly the case with Syfy‘s Haven, fans can relax for quite a while. The network has ordered 26 new episodes, and they will air as a split fifth season. 13 will air in the fall, and the remaining 13 will air sometime in 2015.
According to the announcement, it isn’t just ratings that are high on the network’s radar. Up on the social media chatter front, the show is clearly proving itself as one with loyal, and vocal, fans, and the network is paying attention to that.

Wow, dreams really Can come true! Not only has Syfy renewed our beloved Haven for another season, but it has put in a double order – yes, Twenty-six episodes of Haven coming our way! Am I concerned that this is supposed to be a “congratu-dolences” because it might be a final two seasons? Of course I am. Do I think that’s what it is? No I Do Not. Will I let any such concerns dampen my celebrations? No Way.

Haven Season 4 is coming to wrap itself around us in all its creepy mysterious gorgeous Nova Scotia-posing-as-New England goodness, and I am So Ready. They’ve even made it easy to remember the premiere date: Friday the 13th of next month.
I’m thrilled that Colin Ferguson (Eureka) is joining as a recurring guest star, and now we have news of two others. I hope they all fare better than last year’s recurring guest star. You know, the psychologist? Yowie.
With so many shows, new characters can be disruptive, but the casting in this series has always been impeccable, and seamless with the writing and the collective excellence of the show. And no matter how hard they try, and sometimes they do try, guest stars seem to never be able to permanently break up my favorite love/buddy triangle of Audrey, Nathan, and Duke.
But wait til you see who Christian Camargo (Dexter) plays…...

Excellent, some Haven news! Production has begun for Season 4 of this absolutely terrific show, up in gorgeous Halifax. Everyone I’ve talked with who’s involved in the show’s production talks about the big part the location plays in the series, and I agree. We also have news that the star of another Syfy show that featured an “interesting” town will be joining the Haven community:
Yes Colin Ferguson, Eureka‘s Sheriff Jack Carter, will be showing up in our favorite creepy town. Here are the details, along with a head’s up about where we’ll be when the show returns:

When Haven premieres this October, Colin Ferguson (Eureka) returns to Syfy playing William, a handsome mysterious stranger, whose secret agenda leads him to Audrey (Emily Rose).
Season 4 of Haven picks up six months after the devastating events of the Season 3 cliffhanger in which the town was pummeled by a violent meteor storm. Audrey and Duke (Eric Balfour) vanished into thin air leaving an injured Nathan (Lucas Bryant) marooned in Haven.
During its third season, Haven averaged 2.3 million total viewers, 1.1 million Adults 25-54 and 901,000 Adults 18-49. It was the #1 cable drama during its Friday night at 10 Pm timeslot (based on Live + 7 data) in Adults 18-49, Adults 25-54 and total viewers.

Forty-two-year-old producer and director Chris Brinker died suddenly Friday morning, EW confirmed. According to a report, Brinker began experiencing chest pains late Thursday night. Doctors were unable to treat the extensive damage from the aortic aneurysm.
Producer Lloyd Segan, who was working with Brinker on his next project Baby Proof, told EW “He was a dear friend of a whole lot of people including me. It’s very tough. I want people to know what an amazing person he was and an inspiration too. I’ve known him since he was in college, since he was an intern for me.

Haven airs on Syfy in the Us and Showcase in Canada.
The supernatural drama series Haven has been renewed for a 13-episode fourth season to air in 2013, Showcase has announced.
Haven, is loosely based on the novella The Colorado Kid by Stephen King. The show is set in the titular seaside town which is supposed to be on the coast of Maine, although the series is filmed in Nova Scotia, Canada. Despite its picture postcard appearance, Haven has a turbulent history as a result of the so-called ‘troubles’ that afflict the local residents.
Front and center in events in Haven is Audrey Parker (Emily Rose). In the series premiere Parker comes to the town as an FBI agent. However, after befriending local cop Nathan Wournos (Lucas Bryant) and the roguish Duke Crocker (Eric Balfour) she joins the Haven Pd and investigates the town’s many secrets. Some of these have...

Those of us who know and love the very excellent Haven know that the town is a wee bit creepy. Previously it’s been the townspeople who have been slightly (or more than slightly) scary, but tonight we learn that even the buildings can have issues – or at least one special building can. In fact, the building used for the location shoot has a history of its own.
Featurette: Haven – Haunted House is Haunted

It wasn’t an incident-free shoot, by the way. In a recent interview, Eric Balfour told us that at one point “the ground underneath that house literally sucked my leg out from underneath me, threw me on the ground and then took out Emily with it.” Emily Rose agreed, and said that “we were really happy to get out of that house. It was creepy.” How cool is that?...

This new season of Haven is absolutely terrific; familiar yet fresh, just the way we like our favorite shows. We would absolutely hang out with – heck, we would date, if we were available and they were willing – any of the main characters of this show. Charming, intelligent, witty, perceptive, loyal, supportive, and each one of them an absolute biscuit. Yes, even the Teagues. There is just something about this town…
And tonight we meet two more residents: psychiatrist Dr. Claire Callahan (Bree Williamson), and Jordan McKee (Kate Kelton) whom you’ve seen on the #EscapeToHaven videos. SciFiMafia.com was recently invited to a question and answer conference call with Emily Rose, Eric Balfour, and Lucas Bryant, stars of the oh-so-excellent Syfy series Haven, whose Season 3 premieres tonight at 10/9c. Executive Producer Lloyd Segan was also along to add some helpful behind-the-scenes insights.
The actors had just finished Season 3 shooting earlier that day. They clearly enjoy spending time together as well as talking about the show, and are an absolute joy to talk with, so the following is an only slightly edited version of the entire transcript of the call.
Not included is the SciFiMafia.com question and answer, which we posted last week, and some of the more spoilery questions and answers have been withheld. Enjoy, and don’t forget to watch the season premiere tonight, which we previewed for you earlier today.

The cast of Haven is known to be both very cryptic and close to the vest with spoilers, but they are also well-known for their good-spirited ribbing and outrageous humor, all of which was evidence in the recent press conference call, where stars Emily Rose, Eric Balfour and Lucas Bryant along with executive producer Lloyd Segan provided a few insights on what to expect in the third season of Haven.
In the season three premiere all of the characters seem to take some punches before the opening credits. Could you talk about what it’s like doing your stunts for the show?
Lucas: This is Lucas Bryant. I play Nathan Wuornos on the show called Haven and I’m such a method actor. Nathan doesn’t feel anything and so I really inhabit that role and I don’t feel anything either, and even though Eric throws monster haymakers, it really doesn’t affect me.

Finally, finally, it is nearly September 21 and time for the Season 3 premiere of the particularly excellent Syfy series Haven. If you haven’t seen the first two seasons, you have not spent your life wisely. Hopefully you have time between now and the 21st to watch the 26 episodes you’ve missed so far.
If, however, you can’t get to it by then, Haven has taken pity upon you and is gathering you into its creepily embracing arms by releasing some great viral videos and by “hacking” the Twitter account of one of the Havenites who works on the local paper, along with starting up the Twitter hashtag #EscapeToHaven. If you’re already a Haven fan (well done, you) then you’ll have fun checking out the program, too. This will purportedly be a bigger campaign than last year’s Vince and Dave Join Twitter online program.

Some of the best news coming out of Syfy lately is the fact that Haven is returning for its third season on September 21, less than a month away. There is an atmosphere on the show, set in a small seaside town in Maine (no surprise, as it’s based on a novella by Stephen King), that combines with the exceptional cast chemistry and fantastically twisty plots to make it easily my favorite show on Syfy. You could say it has – sorry – an Edge.
Because it does. WWE superstar Edge (Adam Copeland) joined the show for a few guest appearances last season as Dwight, a “cleaner” of the aftermath of Troubled incidents, and now we hear from Syfy that he’ll be back for Season 3. It would be easy to suspect that this is stunt casting, but honestly, he’s a natural. The show has consistently excellent writing, but the actors still need to bring it,...

Twitter was aflutter with good luck wishes between actors and writers yesterday as the cast of the excellent, exquisite Syfy series Haven starts shooting Season 3 today in Halifax, Nova Scotia. And about darn time, we say; they left us with one heck of a cliffhanger. We’ve had a number of readers asking us about the status of Haven Season 3. Syfy officially renewed Haven for a 13-episode third season last October and we now have word that production begins later this month:

The mystery of Haven deepens week by week for Audrey Parker (Emily Rose).
The cast and crew of Showcase’s supernatural mystery series Haven are heading back to the coast of Nova Scotia for April 18, which has been announced as the official start date for production on Season 3 of the show
Loosely based on the novella The Colorado Kid by Stephen King, Haven follows former FBI agent Audrey Parker (Emily Rose). Parker becomes a cop in the small coastal town of Haven, Maine, and soon discovers the town’s many secrets, which hold the key to unlocking the mysteries of her past.
As supernatural series go, Haven is generally low key, but it’s appealing characters, intriguing mysteries and beautiful setting have helped to make it a deserved hit in this writer’s opinion.
The 13-episode third season of the show, which airs on Syfy in the U.S., will...

Haven plus Twitter. For me, it’s like chocolate plus peanut butter. Heaven. Starting with this Friday’s episode, one of the stories on Haven will be played out on Twitter, with references during the episode. And not just for one episode; this story will have a 7-week arc. No show has ever incorporated Twitter to this extent before.
To follow the story on Twitter you’ll need to be following @VinceHaven, @DaveHaven, and @ColdInHaven and/or use the hashtag #HavenNews – Vince and Dave, after all, are the brothers who run the local paper the Haven Herald. In the alternative, you can follow the special page they’ve set up on the show’s site - http://www.syfy.com/haven/havennews
Here are all the deets:

I hope you're a fan of Haven, the Syfy original about an unusual Maine town afflicted by increasingly wild and crazy events. This Friday, the show is kicking off something very special, incorporating Twitter into the show in a way that has never been attempted before. Built into the storyline on the show, and then played out on Twitter itself, this is a coupling of formats that is truly unique.
Check out further info from the press release below, and be sure to check out the show this Friday.
Syfy’s popular series Haven will become the first television series to create a storyline that flows between the show itself and the micro-blogging service Twitter when it launches a special seven-episode arc beginning Friday, August 12, at 10Pm (Et/Pt).
