The nominees are in for the 60th Annual Grammy Awards, and music's biggest night will feature some of your favorite artists ...though some were snubbed.
Singer-songwriter Andra Day announced the four major categories -- Best New Artist, Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Album Of The Year -- on Tuesday's CBS This Morning.
As far as snubs go, Ed Sheeran was only nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance for his track, "Shape of You," to the shock of many of his fans. Lady Gaga and Kesha also received minimal nominations, despite the popularity of their albums.
However, Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar earned quite a few Grammy nods, as well as Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito" song that features Justin Bieber.

The site is about 15 miles east of Gary and near where a car belonging to the 30-year-old doctor was abandoned Dec. 5 along Interstate 94. Investigation continues to determine the cause of death, the release said. Toxicology results were pending. Kalamazoo County Sheriff Richard Fuller...

A four-month-old missing woman mystery may have ended with a grim discovery - a body found floating in an Indiana lake could be that of Michigan doctor Teleka Patrick. A fisherman reported something suspicious in the waters of Lake Charles in Porter, Ind., on Sunday morning, and divers recovered the body of a woman dressed in dark clothing, according to the Indiana State Police. "Our family was informed that a body was found that may be our daughter Teleka Patrick," says a statement from her relatives. "We are waiting for official confirmation from the Kalamazoo Sheriff's Department and have no comment at this time.

The mysterious case of missing Dr. Teleka Patrick took strange a twist with the revelation that Grammy-nominated gospel singer Marvin Sapp had a restraining order against her for alleged stalking. Sapp says that when Patrick moved from California to Michigan, she joined the Lighthouse Full Life Center Church in Grand Rapids, where he is a pastor. Kim Fields is bringing her fourth "Holiday Love" special to life this Christmas season, but this year there's a new twist.
A money-hungry reality TV producer starts recruiting pregnant women to take part in his show with the hopes that one of them gives birth on Christmas and their baby can be the real-life baby Jesus on the show.
Fields tells Zap2it that the idea for the special came to her and husband Christopher L. Morgan when they revealed her second pregnancy.
"It was when we did the announcement on 'The Real' over the summer. ... Kim Fields, the actress America watched grow up on "The Facts of Life" and "Living Single," has become known in recent years for her "Holiday Love" Christmas specials. 2013 sees the premiere of the fourth installment, which Fields produced and directed during the third trimester of her recent pregnancy.
Fields tells Zap2it that she just had to jump into the undertaking of directing a two-hour movie while seven months pregnant.
"You can't think about it too much because then you're like, 'I can't do this, I need to sit down somewhere.'" she laughs. Landing on top of Billboard's Top 200 chart is no easy feat in today's music scene. For gospel recording artist James Fortune, accomplishing chart-topping success across various platforms is a proven result.
Fortune recently defied the odds with the release of his third album, "Identity," which debuted in the top spot on Billboard's Gospel Christian and Independent Album charts, as well as landing at the number-seven slot on Billboard's Top 200 chart, not to mention topping the Christian/Gospel category on both Amazon and iTunes. Although the Texas native has amassed number-one success alongside his ensemble F.I.Y.A. (Free In Yahweh's Abundance) in the past with his previous singles, "Identity" marks his first top-ten album, outpacing the sales of much larger, mainstream performers.

In an interview with the Associated Press, the father-of-three says, "Every day is a new day. There are days when I get up and I cry, thinking of her. There are days thinking of her and I smile. There are days when I'm angry. Days that I'm not... We miss her."
But Marvin Sapp doubts he will ever truly overcome his grief.
He adds, "She was a wife that I planned on having for life. It's still a process. It'll probably be a life-long process. No matter what happens in my future. Some things you just don't get over."...

As previously predicted, Justin Bieber indeed takes the No. 1 position on Billboard Hot 200 with his new album "My World 2.0". It has sold around 283,000 copies in its opening week, topping another newcomer, Monica's "Still Standing".
This becomes Justin's first chart-topper and best sales week. When he dropped his first album "My World" in November last year, this Canadian singer could only debut at No. 6 with 137,000 copies. But in anticipation of the follow-up, the 2009 record rises to No. 5 this week with 50,000.
Beside blocking his seniors from the top spot, Justin has also broken U.S. record by becoming the youngest solo male artist to reach No. 1 on the country's albums chart since 13-year-old Stevie Wonder topped the list with "Little Stevie Wonder/The 12 Year Old Genius" in 1963.
Back to the chart, Monica's latest album secures the runner-up position. Led by single "Everything to Me", it arrives on the chart with 184,000 copies. The...

Lady Antebellum move back into the #1 spot on the Billboard albums chart with "Need You Now." In its eighth week in the Top 10, the album jumps from #3 to #1, selling 93,000 copies. The album swapped places with Ludacris' "Battle of the Sexes." His album, featuring the singles "How Low" and "My Chick Bad" with Nicki Minaj, slipped down to #3 this week, selling 61,000 copies.
But the real news this week comes from gospel singer Marvin Sapp, who sold 76,000 copies of his album "Here I Am" to come in at #2 in its debut week. Sapp earned his personal highest-ever position on the Billboard chart and the highest entry for a gospel album on the Billboard albums chart in its 54-year history. His last album, "Thirsty," peaked at #28.
At #4 this week comes a new compilation titled "The Edge," which moved 53,000 copies in its first week. "The Edge" features hit rock tracks from acts like Bush,...

Lady Antebellum reclaim the No. 1 position on Billboard Hot 200 this week, making it their fourth non-consecutive week reign. Their album "Need You Now" adds another 93,000 copies (down 11%), becoming the first chart topper to sell less than 100,000 units since Reba McEntire's "Keep on Loving You" ruled the chart with 96,000 in August last year.
The second place on the U.S. albums chart is secured by newcomer "Here I Am" from Marvin Sapp. The record arrives on the list with 76,000 copies, becoming the highest-charting gospel album since 1997 when "God's Property" from Kirk Franklin's Nu Nation bowed at No. 3.
Sitting at the next spot is last week's champ Ludacris' "Battle of the Sexes". The effort, featuring Nicki Minaj, Trey Songz, Flo Rida, Gucci Mane, Monica and Ne-Yo among others, shifts 61,000 in its second week on sale.
The second-highest chart debut this week is a two-disc rock compilation titled "The Edge". Powered...

Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now" is at No. 1 on the Billboard albums chart for a fourth week, non-consecutive, which at this point, it's just getting boring. What's not boring, at least for gospel fans, is that the entry of Marvin Sapp's album "Here I Am" at No. 2 marks the highest charting position for a gospel record on The Billboard 200 ever in the 54-year history of the chart. Sapp's live set sold 76,000; his last album, 2007's "Thirsty," peaked at No. 28. The previous high-water mark for a gospel album was Kirk Franklin's "God's Property," all the way back...

After a one-week absence from the top of the Billboard albums chart, Lady Antebellum will return to #1 on next week's Top 200, as their Need You Now sold more than 93,000 copies in its eight week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
That was enough to claim the peak position on an otherwise pretty slow chart week. Gospel artist Marvin Sapp's Here I Am debuts at #2, with sales of more than 75,000 copies. Last week's champ, Ludacris, follows at #3, as his Battle of the Sexes concept album sold about 61,000 copies.
The Edge compilation — a two-disc collection of rock hits from the likes of Puddle of Mudd, Jet and Hoobastank — scored the week's second-highest bow, selling more than 53,000 copies to land at #4. And chart mainstay Lady Gaga's The...

Look for Lady Antebellum to hop back up to No. 1 next week in a relatively slow chart week. “Need You Now” had pinballed between No. 1 and No. 3 ever since its release eight weeks ago and is about to surpass 1.4 million copies in sales. With projected sales of 95,000, this will mark the first time the title claiming the top spot has dipped below six figures. The No. 2 slot on the Billboard 200 goes to a man of God: Gospel singer Marvin Sapp’s latest on Verity, “Here I Am,” is poised to sell around 75,000...
