Officials confirmed the twisted wreckage of a Lockheed Lightning P-38,
found on the seabed off the coast of Marseille, France is that of
Saint-Exupery, although a body wasn't found in the wreck. (7 April

The French airport of Lyon (formerly called Satolas) bears his name
since 2000 (for the 100th birthday of Saint-Exupéry).
Commemorated by a plaque in the Panthéon.
One of his ancestors fought with the Americans at Yorktown.
Until the Euro was introduced in 2002, his image appeared on France's
50-franc note.
Asteroid #2578 was named after Saint-Exupéry in 1975.
