Rdf Media and top media agency Omnicom Media Group are partnering to create branded programming.
Omg's 5-year-old branded entertainment unit, Full Circle Entertainment, will become a venture between Rdf Media USA and Omg. Rdf will be the majority stakeholder in Fce and will run it as an independent company under its umbrella. Fce will continue to be headed by CEO Robert Riesenberg, a branded entertainment veteran, who will report to Chris Coelen, CEO of Rdf Media USA.
Under the pact, Rdf/Fce will become Omg's exclusive content-creation partner in all areas except for sports and minority programming.
Fce will continue to develop and produce content tailored to meet the needs of advertisers within or outside of Omg but now will take advantage of Rdf's programming resources.

Spike TV has given a 10-episode order to producers Ben Silverman and Robert Riesenberg for a reality series dubbed The Club, which will chronicle the nightly goings-on at a dance club in Las Vegas as it seeks to compete with the high-wattage casinos on the Vegas Strip. The series is scheduled to premiere Oct. 12 in the 10 p.m. time slot. Silverman, who heads the NBC Universal-based Reveille production banner, is creator and executive producer of The Club, which will train cameras on nightclub ICE. Riesenberg, president and CEO of ad giant Omnicom's Full Circle branded entertainment unit, and Kevin Dill are also executive producers. Silverman and Riesenberg previously partnered to produce two similarly themed shows: NBC's The Restaurant and Bravo's Blowout, set in a tony hair salon.

Spike TV is stepping into the ring with Ultimate Fighting Championship for a series about the martial arts sport. The cable network has ordered 13 hourlong episodes of Ultimate Fighter to begin airing in January. The series will be executive produced by Craig Piligian (American Chopper) of Pilgrim Films and Television and Robert Riesenberg (The Restaurant), CEO of Full Circle Entertainment, the branded entertainment division at Omnicom. Set to begin shooting in September in Las Vegas, Fighter will chronicle a competition among 20 athletes to earn a shot at a spot in the UFC league. Mixed martial arts involves fighters of different weight classes battling each other using techniques from karate, judo and kickboxing.

Omnicom Media Group said Monday that it is naming its recently announced branded entertainment television unit Full Circle Entertainment -- headed by Robert Riesenberg -- and appointing TV development and production veteran Tracy Dorsey as managing director of creative affairs at Full Circle. The Omnicom unit, which specializes in developing and producing television programming that aims to fulfill the marketing needs of advertisers, was announced in January. Riesenberg was hired in February from Magna Global Entertainment, a unit of Interpublic, where he was an executive producer of the NBC series The Restaurant along with hit reality show producers Mark Burnett and Ben Silverman.
