Swiss actor, who starred in several early sound films. A favorite of the directors Paul Czinner and Max Reinhardt. Moved back to Switzerland after 1933 and died at the end of the decade from the effects of tuberculosis.
He continued his career successfully in the 30's and was convincing in the talkies "Das Flötenkonzert von Sans-souci" (1930) and "Yorck" (1932).
When Rehmann fell seriously ill, he gave up acting and went to Switzerland in 1935.
The artist, who had recently become very religious, lived until his early death in Langenthal near Zurich, where he worked as a priest.
