Running for almost a decade, Grant Gustin’s tenure as The Flash came to a close with Season 9 a year ago. The series finale saw Eddie’s resurrection and transformation into Cobalt Blue, who later reconciled with Barry to save the timeline. However, they don’t exactly part ways as friends. The show ends with Nora’s birth and Barry passing on the mantle to new speedsters.

However, showrunner Eric Wallace had envisioned a different path for the series finale, extending to Season 10 and taking its episode count to 200 before the network decided to conclude the series after nine seasons. Wallace’s plan for the finale included a proposed Blackest Night crossover, promising an ambitious storyline that could rival even Zack Snyder’s twisted take on DC superheroes.

Could The CW have one last Arrowverse crossover up its sleeve? Following remarks made by Tom Cavanagh at a convention over the weekend, TVLine has confirmed that the Flash vet will appear in the series finale of Superman & Lois, appropriately titled “It Went By So Fast.”
Cavanagh originally hoped to direct the pivotal episode, having previously helmed the Season 1 finale and Season 3 premiere, but the gig was already promised to frequent Superman & Lois director Gregory Smith. That’s when showrunner Todd Helbing got an idea, one that will leave fans theorizing for months to come.

Stephen Amell’s Arrow is one of the most well-received superhero shows on the CW network that started the whole Arrowverse which included Supergirl, The Flash, etc. The series went on for eight successful seasons and Amell’s Oliver Queen went on a great journey, portraying the character’s shades with great conviction.

The show also had Katie Cassidy, Colin Donnell, David Ramsey, and Colton Haynes in pivotal roles for 7 years over 8 seasons. Haynes particularly had a notably reduced role in the final season of the show. In his new memoir, he states that the reason behind it was due to an alleged feud with one of his castmates.

Bass Reeves has one hell of a story. Born into slavery in Arkansas, he was forced by his owner to fight on the Confederate side of the Civil War. He escaped — legend has it, he beat up his owner over a card game and ran off — and lived for years in the Indian Territory. He eventually became the first Black man to wear a U.S. Marshal badge west of the Missisippi, and finished his career with thousands of arrests. This trailer comes from this year's San Diego Comic Con - the project was crowdfunded through Kickstarter and was initially set for 2023. Now it's aiming to open sometime in early 2024. In the film, three years after a tragic battle, Erik Reed returns to his city to protect his wife and daughter from a new threat. The CW can never hold Kitty! How’s that for a deep cut? Don’t worry, Powerpuff Girl fans. I’ve got your back. Some unfortunate news is coming out of Townsville today. The CW is no longer developing several live-action series, including The Powerpuff Girls, the Archie series Jake Chang, the Arrowverse show Justice U, and a female-led Zorro. The same fate goes for all series left over from former CW president Mark Pedowitz’s tenure.
“We’ve already given those back to the studios,” Brad Schwartz, The CW’s President of Entertainment, explained to TVLine after an Upfront presentation, adding, “so they’re free to develop those and sell them anywhere.”
Shutting down development on the abovementioned projects comes as Hollywood struggles to negotiate with the WGA during the most recent writer’s strike. With no timeline for when writers will return to work, more shows could be...

The Flash Season 9 Episode 9
The end is truly nigh. After a handful of more standalone-style “interlude” episodes, The Flash enters its endgame with an hour that brings back old favorites and takes big narrative swings, restoring the multiverse and reminding Barry Allen of why he became a hero in the first place.
Any The Flash episode that features the long-awaited return of Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West, as well as guest appearances from Arrow stars Stephen Amell and David Ramsey, is basically guaranteed to be a must-watch, but “It’s My Party And I’ll Die If I Want To” is a surprisingly emotional installment on top of that, one that offers several characters some much-needed closure and a chance to rededicate themselves to fighting the good fight.
“Honestly, I’m so thrilled that this was the episode I got to direct,” says Danielle Panabaker,...

“The Flash” is speeding toward its end, and with it comes the end of the Arrowverse. But, for the most part, Danielle Panabaker hasn’t gotten too emotional — at least until it came time for her final directorial turn on the show.
With Wednesday night’s episode, Panabaker, who has starred as Caitlin Snow and Killer Frost on the series since its pilot, has directed five episodes over the course of the series. And according to the actress, the sense of finality on the show really set in while she was behind the camera this time.
“I will say that was, I think, one of the few times I got emotional, in this final season is looking around, you know, at a lot of the different crew members, most of whom were there the first time I started directing, and you know, I really love collaborating with them,” Panabaker told TheWrap.

This week’s long-hyped episode of The Flash opens with a birthday party, but it’s the fans who are getting the big gift: O.G. hero Stephen Amell returns as Oliver Queen…sort of. At Team Flash’s bash for Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), fellow Speedster Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) and old pal John Diggle (David Ramsey) are welcome guests; Season 6 villain Bloodwork (Sendhil Ramamurthy) is not. When a celebratory toast leads to a mass poisoning, Amell’s Ollie — who died and became the Spectre during Arrow’s final episodes in 2020 — shows up at the perfect time to help save the day. And maybe not for the last time, hints the actor. We recently caught with our old pal Amell, who caught us up on not just his appearance of The Flash, but also his upcoming return to the ring in Heels. Hello, sir! Stephen Amell: How are you?...

Are you ready for the last-ever Arrowverse team-up?
The CW has dropped a trailer for The Flash Season 9 Episode 9, which brings several fan favorites back to Central City one last time.
The highly-anticipated episode brings Stephen Amell back into the mix as Oliver Queen, aka Green Arrow.
It's a big deal because Oliver died at the end of Arrow.
So, how is all of this possible, you ask?
The multiverse remains a big problem for the characters on The Flash Season 9, so we're probably seeing another Earth's iteration of Oliver.
Then again, this universe tends to throw big curveballs at viewers, so we should probably wait until the episode airs on April 26 to speculate.
The special episode also includes David Ramsey, Keiynan Lonsdale (Wally West/Kid Flash), and Sendhil Ramamurthy (Ramsey Rosso/Bloodwork).

I don't think there has been a superhero television series with an as expansive legacy as "Arrow." Premiering on The CW in 2012, the series not only ran for impressive eight seasons but spawned the "Arrowverse," a shared television universe. "Arrow" led to the creation of "The Flash," "Legends of Tomorrow," and more, with these DC Comics-inspired series regularly crossing over with one another. The show stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, a playboy who returns to his hometown of Star City after presumingly being stranded on a remote island for five years, as the vigilante Green Arrow.
Initially coming out the gate as a dark and gritty take on the Green Arrow mythos, "Arrow" let itself get weird and leaned into its comic book origins for an entertaining, if uneven, superhero show. There is a wide range of quality across the show's entire run, from its attempts to visibly...

While it will be fun to see Oliver Queen, Wally West and John Diggle return during The Flash‘s farewell run, the fact remains that No. 2 on fans’ wish list is to see Cisco one last time. What say Carlos Valdes?
Barry’s Bff Cisco Ramon, played by original cast member Valdes, last was seen in The Flash‘s Season 7 finale, where he officiated the #WestAllen vow renewal. Since then, the character has been living off-screen in Star City with girlfriend Kamilla, after he took on the job of Director of Technology and Science for A.R.G.U.S.

And just like that, we have our first look at a superhero team-up on the final season of The Flash.
David Ramsey (who plays Diggle) took to social media to share a photo from behind the scenes of The Flash Season 9 Episode 9, airing later this year.
Specifically, the episode finds The Flash teaming up with Spartan, Green Arrow, and Kid Flash to fight a villain as the series prepares for its endgame.
News of Amell's return broke to much fanfare earlier this year.
The episode marks his first time back in the Arrowverse since the series finale of Arrow in 2020, the show that started this superhero universe.

The Fastest Man Alive is speeding towards the end of his adventures on The CW. The Flash season 9 will mark the conclusion of the long-running Arrow spinoff, which first aired in 2014. The final season will consist of 13 episodes meant to wrap up the story of Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen and his extended family of heroes. True to the nature of the expansive superhero universe in which The Flash takes place, the final run of episodes will also provide an opportunity for The CW to bring back characters from the show’s past.
The CW has confirmed that The Flash season 9 will see the return of five major Arrowverse characters, including Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale), John Diggle (David Ramsey), and the gruesome villain Bloodwork (Sendhil Ramamurthy). "Dexter" is a show with a history almost as tumultuous as that of its titular antihero. The gory crime drama follows Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), a blood spatter analyst by day and vigilante serial killer by night. Season 1 of the Showtime drama debuted in 2006 to positive reviews and reigned as the premium channel's highest-rated series for the next four years. Seasons 2 and 4 are widely regarded as the show's best, with the latter boasting a fantastic performance by John Lithgow as the Trinity Killer, one of TV's most terrifying villains. After the departure of showrunner Clyde Phillips, "Dexter" began a downward slide that ran all the way up to its disappointing series finale, frequently remembered as one of the worst of all time. Eight years after Dexter drove his boat into the eye of a hurricane, the serial killer with a heart of gold returned in "Dexter: New Blood," a...

In 2011, the silver screen debut of Green Lantern landed like a thud instead of soaring like a triumph. The film was dismissed both by critics and wider audiences; one of the more positive reviews was Roger Ebert's middling praise, "['Green Lantern'] intends to be a sound-and-light show, assaulting the audience with sensational special effects. If that's what you want, that's what you get."
Time hasn't been any kinder to "Green Lantern." Star Ryan Reynolds has poked fun at it in both of his subsequent "Deadpool" movies. "Green Lantern" was conceived as the beginning of a larger DC Comics film franchise, meant to rival the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Instead, its hero has been persona non grata on film since. Green Lantern is usually a staple of the Justice League but in both versions of that film, the only Lantern who showed up was a cameo.
