Apple TV+ has been ramping up its content slate with some of the most talked about original series.
The streaming service's latest surefire hit is Life By Ella, premiering globally Friday, September 2.
The series follows Ella as she returns to school with a brand new perspective, excitement for what the future holds, and a major "seize the day" mentality following her stint with cancer.
With her best friend by her side, she is ready to tackle everything she was too afraid of before, and determined not to let the minutiae of fake friends and social media status distract her.
The official trailer certainly highlights Ella's plight to "seize the day," even if those around her are not ready for her to return to doing what she loves best.
Her cancer diagnosis undoubtedly is a cause for concern from her parents, with her father wondering whether returning to school so soon...

Mad Men's return to steaming later this month will include a disclaimer about the show's use of blackface.
On Wednesday, July 15, all seven seasons of Mad Men will stream for free, with commercials, on the Amazon-owned IMDb TV.
Variety is reporting that an episode of Mad Men Season 3, titled “My Old Kentucky Home” will have a disclaimer at the top of the episode.
The aim of the message is to offer context to viewers about a scene in which John Slattery’s Roger sings the anti-slavery ballad “My Old Kentucky Home, Good-Night” while wearing blackface.
“This episode contains disturbing images related to race in America. One of the characters is shown in blackface as part of an episode that shows how commonplace racism was in America in 1963," Variety reveals the disclaimer will say.

There was high drama on the Madam Secretary set on Friday, and it was most definitely not scripted.
According to TMZ, police were called to the set of the CBS drama series when a fight broke out among background actors.
This is said to have played out immediately after leading lady Tea Leoni filmed a scene in which she delivered a speech.
The outlet states that a background actor started a fight at the snacks and refreshments table. Yes, really.
Yes, this whole thing seemingly kicked off because of food.

Apparently, there were over a hundred background actors involved in the scene above, and things are said to have taken a horrifying turn when they "swarmed" the coffee and snacks table during a break.
TMZ says that one actor cut the line, and a female staffer on the set told him to get to the back.

Fox has canceled its troubled cop series “Lethal Weapon” after three seasons, Variety has learned.
The show originally starred Clayne Crawford and Damon Wayans as a buddy cop duo, however, Variety reported that the pair were far from friendly and fought regularly off-camera, leading to Crawford’s sacking. Season three continued with Seann William Scott replacing Crawford, however, Wayans announced he was quitting and show, and coupled with a steep decline in ratings, it’s no great surprise that Fox decided to pull the plug.
The show averaged a 0.71 rating in the key 18-49 demographic and just over 3 million total viewers per episode in Season 3, which was a significant dip from the season 2 average rating of 1.0 and average viewership of just over 4 million. Even those numbers represented a pretty substantial decline from season 1, which had an average rating of 1.57 and 6.5 million total viewers.

It didn’t take long to replace Clayne Crawford after his on-set antics and behaviour on the series Lethal Weapon made way for Fox to show Crawford the door. American Pie’s Seann William Scott has been brought in to play the co-lead.
With a new co-lead in tow alongside Damon Wayans, the show has also been renewed for the third season in which Scott will play a new character who will be partnered with Wayans’ Murtaugh. The recent Season 2 finale of Lethal Weapon laid the groundwork for Crawford’s exit with a cliffhanger.

Stifler’s about to get a “Lethal Weapon.” Fox has ordered a third season of the hit action drama after a last minute scramble to replace the lead role opposite Damon Wayans.
Seann William Scott (from the “American Pie” franchise) has joined the show in his first network series role as a new character who folds into a partnership with Murtaugh (Wayans).
“Seann is a fantastic addition to this already amazing cast,” said Fox Entertainment president Michael Thorn. “’Lethal Weapon’ is packed with action, drama and pure fun and we can’t wait to see Damon and Seann together on screen. It almost didn’t happen. After clashes on set between star Clayne Crawford and Wayans, Crawford was fired — and the show was in jeopardy.

One of the most dramatic storylines this upfront season has come to an end, with American Pie alum Seann William Scott tapped to star opposite Damon Wayans on Fox’s Lethal Weapon. He replaces original co-lead Clayne Crawford, whose option for next season will not be picked up by producer Warner Bros. TV over on-set behavior issues.
With Wayans and Scott as new leading duo, Lethal Weapon has been renewed for a third season about 24 hours before Fox is slated to unveil its fall 2018 schedule to advertisers at its upfront presentation. There is no renewal decision yet on Wbtv’s remaining series at Fox, Gotham, which is still being considered for next season.

“Lethal Weapon” has been renewed for a third season at Fox, Variety has learned.
In addition, Seann William Scott will be joining the series following the firing of series co-lead Clayne Crawford. Crawford’s exit from the series came two weeks after it was revealed the former “Rectify” star had twice been reprimanded for his behavior on the “Lethal Weapon” set. In a statement posted on Instagram, Crawford provided details of two on-set incidents for which he was reprimanded, both related to concerns over working conditions.
“Warner Bros. Television has decided not to renew Clayne Crawford’s contract for ‘Lethal Weapon,'” Wbtv said in a statement Sunday. Sources say the studio would not bring the show back to Fox with Crawford attached following the on-set incidents.
The show had been considered a likely renewal, but the mad dash to replace Crawford just days before Fox’s upfront presentation left it in limbo.

Are you serious?! Are you flipping serious?!
Saying goodbye to Clayne Crawford and his version of Riggs on Lethal Weapon Season 2 Episode 22 was hard enough, but at least it seemed as though the character was going to have a happy ending.
After two seasons of heartbreaking drama, Riggs deserved to ride off into the sunset with Molly and Ben and live a happy life.
Instead, Riggs was shot in the chest and left for dead. What made it worse was that he was visiting Miranda's grave to say goodbye, but he was happy and a completely different Riggs than the one we were introduced to on Lethal Weapon Season 1 Episode 1. Riggs deserved a better ending.
Fans deserved a better ending.
It's true that we don't know for sure whether Riggs will live or die, but what we do know for sure is that Clayne Crawford won't be returning as Martin Riggs.

I don't know what is going on, but Lethal Weapon Season 2 Episode 21 threw me for a huge loop.
I know about Avery possibly running for office a while back, but at that time, he had decided not to do it. Now, all of a sudden, he's out, and Murtaugh is in.
How did this change so quickly in the course of two episodes with nary a mention?
It's highly disappointing that Kevin Rahm's Avery will no longer be part of the Lethal Weapon team. There's always the possibility he might come back, but the Commission wouldn't have offered Murtaugh the job if Avery was coming back.
It also sets up the possibility that Lethal Weapon isn't going to be renewed for a third season. If Roger takes the captain's job, he will no longer be partnered up with Riggs.
No Riggs and Murtaugh means no Lethal Weapon.

In its prime, “American Idol” was a show that made gold from pretty much everything it came in contact with on Fox. At the height of its power, it made household names out of the people sitting in the judges’ chairs and competing every week.
