Updated with statement from Rose’s attorney: A new lawsuit accuses Guns ‘N Roses singer Axl Rose of sexual assault and battery over an alleged attack in a Manhattan hotel suite in 1989.
Sheila Kennedy’s suit claims she “suffered severe emotional, physical, financial and psychological distress” when Rose (real name William Bailey) “used his fame, status, and power as a celebrity and performer in the music industry to gain access to manipulate, control, and violently sexually assault” her.
The case was filed under New York’s Adult Survivors Act, which provides a one-year window for sexual assault plaintiffs to file civil claims, regardless of the statute of limitations. That window closes on Thursday.
“Simply put, this incident never happened,” said Rose’s attorney, Alan S. Gutman of Gutman Law. “Notably, these fictional claims were filed the day before the New York State filing deadline expires. Though he doesn’t deny...

Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose has been sued for an alleged sexual assault that occurred in 1989.
In the lawsuit filed in New York City on Wednesday (November 22nd), former Penthouse model Sheila Kennedy claims that Rose “violently” raped her after the two met at a night club. She says that Rose invited her and former MTV host, Riki Rachtman, to his New York hotel room, where he gave them alcohol and cocaine. Kennedy eventually became “uncomfortable” when the musician began aggressively having sex with another model in front of Kennedy, encouraging her to engage in group sex.
The complaint states that Kennedy and Rachtman then left the hotel room, which made Rose “furious” and prompted him to “loom threateningly.” After finding Kennedy in Rachtman’s hotel room, Rose allegedly pushed Kennedy to the ground and dragged her by her hair...

A former model has accused Axl Rose of sexually assaulting her in New York more than 30 years ago, according to a lawsuit filed in New York Supreme Court on Wednesday and obtained by Rolling Stone.

It was the most dangerous water park in America. New Jersey’s Action Park — or “Traction Park,” as the locals notoriously nicknamed it — promised adventure, “big things for little kids to do,” and the grandest water attractions in the world.
But it was known for bumps, bruises, dislocated shoulders — and worse. There were so many injuries the park had its own ambulances. Tragically, there were also deaths. Three drowned in the wave pool. One was thrown from the Alpine Slide onto rocks the park had been told to remove. One was electrocuted after falling into the water on the Kayak Experience.
Longtime MTV VJ Riki Rachtman, former host of the metal show “Headbangers Ball,” knew nothing of the perils of the park when he was assigned to do a live broadcast there in 1993 with special guests Alice In Chains. But he was up to the challenge, and Alice in Chains...

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of Nevermind, band's close friend — and former MTV staffer — Amy Finnerty recalls their rise to fame.

When Amy Finnerty first met Nirvana, she had just come to MTV to work in the Music and Programming department. Of course, she didn't let them know that fact. She was just blown away to finally meet the guys who had made her favorite album (at least at that point): Bleach.
Over the next four years, Finnerty would not only become close friends with the band, but intrinsically linked to them too. Since she was just a few years younger than the guys (not to mention a huge fan), she was one of the first people within the company to champion them — and was almost singlehandedly responsible for getting their "Smells Like Teen Spirit" on the channel.

In celebration of Nevermind's 20th anniversary, Kurt Loder recalls a seriously costly interview with the band.

In December 1993, Nirvana sat down with MTV News' Kurt Loder in the frozen expanses of St. Paul, Minnesota — but only on the condition that he also sit down with one of the opening acts on their tour: all-girl Japanese punk act Shonen Knife.
It was, in retrospect, a very Nirvana thing for them to do: Kurt Cobain loved nothing more than lifting some of his favorite bands up into the spotlight. And while Loder would write about the entire back-and-forth that led to the interview in a 2004 feature for MTVNews.com called "Nirvana: Days of Thunder," the story of what happened afterward is just as compelling — mostly because it involved $19,000 in property damages.

On October 25, 1991, with their Nevermind album only a month old but already gaining traction and the video for "Smells Like Teen Spirit" beginning to turn the world on its ear, Nirvana appeared on MTV's flagship metal show "Headbangers Ball" for an interview that would become legendary — mostly for all the wrong reasons.
As they made abundantly clear during their stint on the show, Nirvana considered "Headbangers" to be the epicenter of everything they considered evil: the teased-and-tousled, tough-guys-and-tanned-babes world of mainstream metal. As if barely feigning interest wasn't proof of this point, one only had to look at the canary-yellow ball gown Kurt Cobain threw on for the occasion. It was about as un-metal (and...

MTV is bringing back two things that helped put the network on the map. No, I'm not talking about Adam Curry's giganti-mullet and Riki Rachtman's pathetic need to be accepted by rockers. I'm talking about Beavis and Butthead, the two animated suburban teens that love bungholes, boobs, and bloodying themselves.
We now have our first look at the revamped series, and thankfully it appears that series creator Mike Judge didn't feel the need to update anything except what the two dopes talk about. MTV celebrates an important moment in its history this week: 17 years ago, Guns N’ Roses’ “November Rain” premiered on “Headbangers Ball.” Since the video dropped in 1992, plenty has changed: Axl Rose has hired and fired dozens of bandmembers (finally releasing the long-awaiting Chinese Democracy last year) and Slash has gone from solo artist to Velvet Revolver axeman. One thing hasn’t changed, though: “November Rain” is still as inexplicable as it was when it first aired on MTV. If you haven’t seen it, take the time to enjoy all 9 minutes of Axl’s magnum opus, and then check out all the things you might have missed about it.

Heather-and-Daisy-Fight.jpg" alt="Rol 2: Daisy and Heather Fight" />After all Daisy de la Hoya said about moving on after her experience on Rock of Love 2, we saw her discussing with Bret Michaels how she felt so used and taken advantage of. She used the word "vulnerability" quite a lot, saying that Bret took advantage of her during the final night. During the Rock of Love 2 Reunion Show, Daisy was unfortunately seated beside season 1 runner-up, Heather Chadwell, who seemed to have grown tired of hearing Daisy's complaints about Bret not having a deeper connection with her.
Much to the fans surprise—or should we say, delight—little Daisy bounced off her seat and starting ranting at Heather, who got really fed up and hit Daisy back in the head. The fight ensued until Riki Rachtman and Bret Michaels himself pulled apart the ladies, who angrily stomped off the stage in different directions.
