- Gene Pistilli was born in Hoboken, New Jersey, USA. He is known for Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood (2019), I Care a Lot (2020) and Been Down So Long It Looks Like Up to Me (1971).
- Founding member of the vocal group Manhattan Transfer, leaving in 1972 after two years to pursue non-jazz/swing music. With Terry Cashman, co-wrote "Sunday Will Never Be The Same," a hit in 1967 for Spanky and Our Gang. Formed a trio with Terry Cashman and Tommy West, but left in 1969, after producing Jim Croce's first album with wife Ingrid.
