- The Sons of the Pioneers were awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Recording at 6843 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California.
- The original Sons of the Pioneers consisted of Leonard Slye (better known later as Roy Rogers: 1911-1998), Bob Nolan (1908-1980) and Tim Spencer (1908-1974). Later members were Lloyd Perryman (1917-1977), Hugh Farr (1903-1980), Karl Farr (1909-1961), Shug Fisher, Ken Curtis, Ken Carson and Pat Brady.
- The original sextet was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame (1980).
