- He has had a long association with independent filmmaker and former Cannon Group Chief Executive, Yoram Globus. In 1990, after now disgraced Italian financier Giancarlo Parretti and Pathe Communications took over Cannon in 1989, Pearce became CEO of the "ressurrected" Cannon Pictures Inc., following the resignation of Ovidio G. Assonitis. After Cannon Pictures came to an end in 1994, Pearce and Globus formed the short-lived Global Pictures Inc.
- Chris Pearce, while production managing "Shame Shame on the Bixby Boys" and later as an executive at Cannon Films, gave many new people their starts in the movie business. He is sort of an unsung Roger Corman.
- There is no doubt Chris Pearce was an unsung Roger Corman. I, James Jaeger, met him before he went over to Cannon Films on the set of SHAME SHAME ON THE BIXBY BOYS. Although First AD, Dror Soref hired me (because I was on the set early helping refurbish and build new sections to the western town at Paramount Ranch), Chris took over production management of the show and suddenly there was more only law and order, but everyone started getting PAID! The production ran smoothly, thanks to Chris's uncanny ability to juggle 50 balls in the air at once, AND the most important fact that Terry Fraze became our new executive producer and properly funded the production. After SSOBB wrapped Chris became head of production at Cannon. It was a madhouse. A good madhouse. Lots of new people, talent and dreams flying every direction imaginable. Yes, Cannon was every bit as busy as Roger Corman's NEW WORLD PICTURES but with two or three times the production output.
