Thunderbirds Are Go! returned to our screens tonight (April 4), leaving viewers wondering whether it could top the 1960s original.
The classic theme tune and countdown open the show but there are no strings in sight for this version of Gerry Anderson's story, as the Tracy brothers move to complete CGI animation.

Revenue in the UK games market was down 13% in 2011, it has been revealed. The total gross revenue generated last year through the sale of all software, hardware and accessories was £2.520 billion, according to industry bode Ukie. Software sales alone amounted to £1.42 billion, a decline of 7% compared to 2010. It's noted that all numbers don't take into account digital revenues from online game sales, downloadable content and micro-transactions. Despite the declining retail figures, they were described as better than anticipated by chairman Andy Payne. "In a year when overall consumer spending was down, 2011 proved to be a better-than-expected year for the UK's boxed-product games market," he said. Mastertronic managing director Andy Payne has received an OBE in the Queen's New Year's Honours List. The exec, who has also worked with Ukie, GamesAid and BAFTA among others, has been given the award for services to the UK computer games industry, it was revealed today (December 31). The Elspa and GfK Chart-Track will publish PC digital download sales data later this year. Publishers Ubisoft, Thq, Sega, NCsoft, Mastertronic, Kalypso Media, Square Enix and Midas Interactive along with three other unannounced firms have confirmed their involvement. The partners have been working on a deal for a number of months and have reached a point where a chart could be formally announced. The chart will also include third-party resellers for data from a number of online distribution platforms, including Steam.
